Never dropped or wet. While recording, I have to reposition LCD door in order for LCD to light up. Now it no longer lights up even though if I angle it I can see the video on it, just dark.

I have had the same issue and will be seeking to resolve with Sony in Basingstoke on the basis that the screen is not up to the task!

I have also tried to remove the files from the device which has been a major issue with the broken LCD as you cannot set the device to USB connection. Sony have been unable to assist on this issue advising that a Data Specialist in the yellow pages is the best way forward prior to sending the device in !!

However i managed to connect the device to the Sony Import Tool Software on my PC by connecting to the lead, powering on the HDR-SR12 and pressing the "Burn CD" button. This then enabled the device to be seen, i launched the Sony software and downloaded the files - ALL GOOD and very happy !!!

I think what has happened is the very thin wires Sony use between the camera and screen LCD on these new cameras has broken, when it started to go wrong it was a wire making and breaking contact, now it has gone completly.
Call Sony for help on

My Denon DP-26F tonearm does not return "all" the way when finished playing a record.


Tonearm can be adjusted to travel back to its support. At the base of the tonearm is a small rubber stopper. Remove the stopper and insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot beneath. Turn to the left and then test arm for repositioning correct. Adjust until its correct. John

1. Turn program selector to "off"
2. Turn selector to Drain or Spin
3. Press the start / pause

Wait until program ends.

Open door.

or

Press "start / pause" until the start / pause light flashes.

My camera got wet


If one drops or gets a camera wet, it unfortunately voids the warranty because cameras nowadays are sensitive to such accidents.

The water could have destroyed the connection to the LCD, or blown a chip that is responsible for broadcasting the image to the LCD.

flex wire connecting LCD with camcorder might be a problem it's very common.I did in mine .

Buttons and screen do not work


Hello

Did your phone get wet or was it dropped before this happened ? The reason I ask is because it sounds like the phone's lcd or possibly the mainboard was damaged.

If you didnt get it wet or drop it then there is a chance the phone was just defective. If you have phone insurance replace it if not you might want to decide between getting a new one or having that one repaired. Normally its more expensive to repair it then replace it.

i know the water sticker is still white because you didnt get the actual sticker wet... in order to get the sticker to turn red... the sticker has to be wet...!

Assumed that LCD screen is black and what about Eye piece viewfinder? Does it show picture to you?
If LCD Screen is black, it means it has no back-light. check any button to turn back light on & off at LCD portion.
There can be an other reason of black LCD. a flexible cable which connects LCD and Camera circuits and it can be broken/ cracked/ out of order.

reposition the switch.. in the door

first try holding button at door with finger and press start..if same symptom appears...check tab that depresses that switch and if its good try to reposition or replace switch.

Razer phone - no display


can you still hear? if you can you prob need to have just the LCD replaced. if you cant hear your flex cable might have to be replaced or might have gotten disconnected. So you phone did not get wet just dropped? if so you can take it to a repair shop and have it fixed if you have the money but i would fix it myself it is not too hard and you can buy the parts off ebay, so much cheaper. My razr's display recently got ruined because it got wet. repair shop said they would not touch it since it was water damage. they said to get knew phone. im glad i did not listen and decided to fix myself. everything but the screen worked. since i still could make calls and hear i knew it was not the flex cable( connects bottom half to top) and that it must just be the lcd. my dad has same phone and i used his to see if i was right. i was so i order a lcd part from ebay for $30. Thats with shipping. so if i were you i would try to fix it myself it is not too hard

Keypad quit working


i already try by my self this step and it works!

- open 4 screw in the corner of u're lcd (open the rubber first)
- open connector flex cable (2 items)
- clean it with some cleaner (alcohol) with brush
- assemble it!
