As I understand you mention about the scanner. (It scans in blue)
Please check the scan mode in the setup while scanning. Try setting it different dpi mode.
Did you install any new driver or update your operating system? If so you shoul update your printer/scanner driver to be compatible to your operating system. What is your operating system?
