This is most frustrating. I downloaded all photos to leave a clean card, then went to use the camera again and got the CARD FULL message, which is totally untrue. I put in another empty memory card and got the same message.

The internal memory is the memory built into the camera, not the memory you put in with a memory card. This internal memory is rather small. If it is completely full, it will stop your camera working even with an empty memory card.
Take the card out of the camera, and delete some of the photos on the internal memory before you put it back in.
Just turn off the camera, remove the full card, and insert the empty card. For best results, format each card before use.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
Hi there internal memory means inbuilt memory. When you click the snap all photos are save in your camera internal memory. I hope you use external memory card. Go in settings and select the memory card( external) for further snaps. Then the message did not come again until full the memory card. And if you want to clear the internal memory card then connect your camera with your PC then copy the all photos from the camera & paste in computer. After that go inside the internal memory of camera via computer & delete them. Then your camera in build memory card will empty. I hope you understand . If you have any question then ask me. Thanks & waiting for your feedback.
You need to get a memory card and promise to never use the internal memory again....it only causes problems as you have found out. When you get the new card follow this procedure:
1. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to format the internal memory.
2. Insert the new card and do the format thing again to prepare the new card.
