More that likely you are using the internal speakers for sound. There is an output IC (Integrated Circuit) that processes and amplifies the sound. If that fails partially you will get fuzzy sound, also the speakers could themselves be causing the problem. If you have an external Audio out try running it through an external amplifier if the sound is clear then the problem is the Audio output section...
To accomplish this connect the Red and White Audio OUT to the stereo. Use an audio patch cord and plug the cord into the amplifier using any input (you must select that input on the front panel) except a phono input.
