I opened the back of the tv I checked the power lead at the plug noise filter plug in connection I have 120v at exit to circuit board connector plug entering the board. I also checked the (3) small fuses 250v 5AMP they have travel through power.

No power anywhere you say? hmm (Am I correct in assuming that there is no sound of the tv trying to start?)

Well first thing I would check is if there is power coming out of the outlet. If there is, then tv is problem and if not, then not tv of course

Second, if the first don't work then I would open up the tv and check the board, see if anything looks broken or smells burnt. Make sure you have it unplugged of course and be careful about what you touch. I would leave it unplugged for say 4 hours and if nothing looks bad, then plug it back in and see if it starts working again.

If you want to know what to check then look at the board and everything attached to it

Also, if this is a newer tv, you should check to see if there is actually enough power coming from the outlet to give it sufficient use. These require a ton of power and your manual should say how much is needed.

Please update me on the situation, thank you

have you checked how much power the outlet is putting out?

    thanks for the update

Many times people that have this problem take it to a dealer or repair shop and they can't even figure it out, if it is still under warranty, I would consider doing that

Have you seen any places where there is a loose connection at all that may need to get soldered back together?

These tvs, need a lot of energy to get started, so my best bet is that the outlet might be the problem try switching to a different outlet.

does the tv even try to start up at all, is there a clicking sound or anything?

well with everything that you said, I think the board has gone bad from excessive heat most likely and needs to be replaced

When you attempt to start this up is there anything that occurs? A click perhaps? Is there a standby light? Does the standby light blink? If so, how many times?

Please update this with the answers and we should be ale to guide you along to a fix.
Thanks,
Dan

Thanks for the update. These plasma sets utilize what is called a switch-mode supply. These supplies either work or not. These are not the easiest to diagnose. Also, there should be a standby supply as well. This one should be active as long as the set is plugged in. Can you see a standby indication at all? If not, we need to look at the standby supply area first. Without the standby supply, nothing will work.

Unfortunately teh only replacement parts available for these sets are complete modules. Unless you have experience with this type of equipment, I would not suggest you start here. Even at the authorized service centers, it is rare to repair a module. The modules are replaced. Check with a local service center for the cost of the power supply module. That is the most likely problem area. If the problem was further into the set, you would have the standby voltage present. It is possible that there is a problem that is preventing the standby from being apparent, but that type of failure is extremely rare.

Sound but no picture....
Should ask yourself, does it PRIME? Meaning, That's where the Plasma panel lights up a little for about 10 seconds after startup. -- If it doesn't prime, then you need either the SMPS, YZUS, possibly both. OR you might need to check the ZSUZ. Driver boards can be culprits too.
And can you even get to the Menu, Volume, etc. but just picture?
Then you need the signal board.
Unfortunately that's pretty common with Plasmas. Can burn out or burn "in" easily.

Different Brand but similar problem. This site is excellent for do it yourselfers. As for Samsung Parts, be thankful if you are a DIY-er that the parts are much cheaper if you install yourself. Separate with installation adds up very quickly. Personally, I decided to go with the Rear Projection Samsung several years ago and haven't had any major problems. Heard then that Samsung was having lots of complications of this nature.

To be honest though sounds like either bad SMPS and/or bad Y-SUS pcb's.

Wish you good luck.
