Question about AGA ILVE M-90F-MP Dual Fuel Range

Open Question

I've been cooking in my Ilve electric oven all afternoon then when i go to cook the next cake the oven ceases to operate. I thought I might have pushed the wrong buttons on the clock Model has a digital clock.Using the trouble shooting guide ,I've turned the oven back to manual operation, reversed the timer back to 0.00 and yet it still will not restart. I've even switched off the power to the whole oven and attempted to reset the oven as you would if there was a power failure. Still no luck restarting the oven. Can you offer any other suggestions?

SOURCE: Had a power failure last

HI.When power outage happened ,did you turned off the fuse box.Because when the power will return/comes back,it bring first a surge voltage from the outside supply.Meaning there is an abnormal behavior of voltage amount passing the circuit ,sometimes it goes high until it finds stability. When you stated that the fuse box-ok.How do you conclude that it really does? Have you tried to connect the oven from other socket as well to make sure that that socket to where you currently connects the unit is not defective.Though oven has its own fuse too.Youb can actually check it.It is most likly a filament lijke an long circular shape that is transparent and has a stripped of wire inside.

Oven hotter at the back

You should always preheat oven to operating temperature before cooking anything.
Do not put too much in oven, leave plenty af space for good air circulation.
Do not place any reflective foil or the like on the bottom of oven or shelves, as this reflects heat, and you will get uneven cooking.
Make sure fan is working efficiently if it is fan assisted.
