Sony Vaio notebook nS series with vista. Now the game manufacturers will say the games wont work with the intel chipset but I got a game working just fine. I forgot how I did it. Now there are a few gaes out there that have the same specs and I am having difficulty getting them to run.

Well, the first step would be the make/model of the computer and/or the motherboard. If you have a separate network card, thast good. You obviously don't have the NIC drivers for your machine.

Did you look in Device Manager to see what you're missing? You need the chipset drivers for the MB, and probably the NIC drivers as well.

Can I change or upgrade the Video Card on my Sony Vaio VGN-FZ140E?

No Bull, no internal upgrading.

One may be led to think so, due to computer manufacturers just abusing the heck out of their 'Advertising license'.

Just bought new sony vaio ns laptop,if i nudge it slightly it keeps coming up with errors 1st was a windoes error then hard drive now it wont even lauch windows vista

Hello,

My advice is since you just brought new sony vaio ns laptop then please contact your supplier or store you buy the laptop then let them fix it for you since you still have the warranty period covered since you buy it from them. So to avoid the void of yourwarranty from your laptop then please return it to the supplier or to the store where you buy.

Thanks

Do you have vista? You can upgrade to the new nero that supports vista. I have 6.0 and I had problems with it on a vista machine.

Game video acceleration

It won't be the Direct X. You should be running no less than Direct X 9.c for XP, and 10 for Vista. The reason will be your graphic's chipset isn't really good enough for the game that you're trying to run.

One thing to do, is to download the most current drivers for your system, which can be found on the support and download page of the Sony website. If you look on the back of the box on almost all games, they come with a little note along the lines of "while laptop or intergrated chipset versions of the above may work, they are not supported". Unfortunately if updating the drivers doesn't help, then the only solution is to play it on an up to date desktop system.
