Hi.

Check speaker wiring. An amp final channel usually blows because of excessive draw from speakers. This often happens because one of the speaker is shorted inside or because of a wiring problem.
Also ensure that speakers are responding to specifications. Speakers that are out of the amp Ohms range will do the same thing in a while.

Naturally you can also blow an amp final by pumping volume to the max for a while. The transistors or the STK ICs in the final section will overheat and blow.

Regards.

Ginko.

My Bose SA3 2 channel amp keeps blowing when I raise the volume with non-bose speakers, why is this happening?

Could be the impedence of the speakers that you're connecting. The bose amp was designed to drive 8 ohm speakers.

My amplifier is to hot then off

use compressed air to blow dust out of unit, If it gets hot under no load condition you have a bad diode and resistor on one channel. A complex repair on this amp for an experienced tech. Probably more economical to replace it( for your next pro amp i'd recommend crown or qsc).

Bose SA-3 amp and a non bose sub.. I keep blowing the amp..

How many ohms is your sub? The SA 3 Amp can only handle speaker(s) 6 ohms and greater. A lot of subs, as I understand, are 2 and 4 ohms typically. If yours is 2 or 4 ohms, then that explains it. The speaker would be "straining" your amplifier and blowing it.

Im trying to run two kenwood 6/9,s and a mtx sledge hammer 12'' sub of a mtx 6004 amp.where do i put my rca,s front or rear / and if this is poss how do i bridge the sub ????? im lost

Im kind of confused with what exactly your asking. Are you trying to run 3 subs off of an amp? If so, the RCA's should go to the front of the amp, and if your plugging 3 subs in to it, you need to have a 3+ channel amp. There is a way to hook it up differently though. I have 4 12" Hifonics subs running off a 2400 watt Nitro-BMW-486 amp. I just have two subs running to each of the two channels.

Piuoneer DJM600S feedback and cd input problems

Check List :
CD Deck 1 to Channel 1 CD Input
CD Deck 2 to Channel 2 CD Input
Mixer booth output to AMP's AUX or CD input.
use the BOOTH rather than the MASTER
even if you think you've done all these checks, check them again.
trust me I've been a DJ for 15 years & wired up **** loads of systems & still manage to ******* the wiring now & again lol.
you mite need to run an earth from your mixer to your amp.
One more thing, just out of interest you don't happen to have an amp with surround sound do you?
because if you do then switch the effects completely off this should sort it.

Amp blowing fuses

Your amp is blowing fuses to protect your circuit. The type of 12V battery does not matter. For whatever reason you are over driving the amp. 2 Ohms sounds like a very low impedance for a car amplifier output. I am assuming you have the two 12" speakers wired in parallel. Most are rated at 4 Ohms which means you are pulling twice the current with the 2 Ohm load. Also, the bigger the speaker, the bigger the magnet, the bigger the coil, the larger the inductance, the heavier the load. Make sure these speakers are matched with your amp. A small amp driving large speakers will shut down at high volumes. Try putting them in different channels. Good Luck.

Gem sound dj amp blows fuses on the right side

There is a problem with the output section. The most common cause is shorted output transistors. This unit should go in for service. Without seeing the unit and testing it, I can't indicate all of the defective parts. You should expect a parts cost between $25-$45.

2006 12" Kicker L7 4 ohm

first whats the range in terms of WATTS that your 12" sub can handle in 4 OHMS ? second , lets check the AMP , POWER ACOUSTIK 1800 WATTS , Now thats a lot of power to drive a single 12" sub speaker . your amp is 1800 watts , per channel is around 500 watts , if BRIDGE thats around 1600 watts rms for ONE channel , if your sub can handle that kind of wattage fine , but it will not blow the amp , what it does is shuts down , some kind of protection mode , it will come back on after a minute or so. I suggest to use one channel in stereo mode , or purchase another sub to use the other channel. i hope this helps AJ
