Hi i had the same problem with mine, i found that putting the old colour back in , restarting the printer till it gets to the checking the colours again, it will obliviously say that the cartridge is out again, so then replace it with the new one, then restart it again, also check the contacts inside where the cartridge plugs into, this could have a bit of dirt on it and may just need cleaning, or try another cartridge as you can never guarantee even new ones have problems with their chips...hope this helps get back to me if still having problems..

Your solution worked up to a point. The printer now says READY, and all buttons work. However, on requesting PRINT CONFIGURATION

Your solution worked up to a point. The printer will start up OK, and the READY mode is shown plus all the buttons work OK. However, on requesting PRINT CONFIGURATION, the green light strobes, the display says PRINTING CONFIGURATION, but nothing further happens.

this sounds like you might have it spooloing instead of printing directly, go to settings for the printer and change this if it has not allready been changed, when you go to print click on the start bar icon to see where the print is going, it might be printing to file and not to the printer itself...hope this helps

Thanks. I am going away on business for a couple of days, leaving now, and will try it when I return.

  • mwbrocklehur Jun 01, 2010

This does not work as the request to print CONFIGURATION is an internal process within the printer itself, and has nothing to do with the connection from my computer.

Every time I put the old empty cartridge pack in the printer, things seem to work OK except that obviously the cartridge is empty.

What if I top up the old cartridge with fresh powder from the new cartridge. Do you know how I can easily get to the powder container? I could simply use a funnel and fill the old cartridge? Any ideas?

    Thanks

The cartridge supplier is sending me a new one. Let's try that first.

My printer HP LASER JET 5200 DTN shows "Ready" on the display but it doesn't print, how can I fix this?

First thing you need to do is establish whether the print engine itself is at fault, or not.
From the relevant printer front panel menu, invoke printing of one or more of the available reports (configuration, font list, etc.); do these print?
If the reports print OK, try to send some plain text to the device.
On a Windows system, you could do this by using the DOS copy command in conjunction with an appropruate net use command to redirect LPT1: to the (USB) port associated with the relevant Windows printer instance.

CM 1015mfp Colors are not aligned. when printing the characters looks like 3D.

If nothing else works, you may have to manually calibrate the dials inside the mirror box. This video link will show you how. http://youtu.be/R1DIko0a1MA
This may be necessary if the printer got bumped really hard.

Hi,

According to your problem first clean the toner cartridge by dry cotton carefully. May be the toner is almost finished or get damp few toner of the cartridge. Refill the toner cartridge. Then install the cartridge properly and reboot it. It will solve your problem.

Hi there, need your kind help. My Hp laserjet 5550 has a missing colour problem. Cyan is missing in the print out, giving rise to to blue and green colours being absent in print-outs. Scanner is confirmed...

Cyan cartridge is OK, means that the display shows the level of toner in the cartridge, right? Then chip it is ok.
Try another cyan toner, the printer may be that it has broken the opening flap of the laser. Or check if the laser's flap cyan is blocked.

Konica minolta error

I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
Hope this fixes your as well.
