The ink cartridges will not move when you open the printer so that the ink cartridges can be changed or refilled.

Greetings...

This Canon ip3300 has four ink tanks... PGI-5 Black, CLI-8 Cyan, CLI-8 Magenta, CLI-8 Yellow

Lift the front of the printer while the printer is on and the ink tanks will move to the center... the empty tank will have a blinking red light... the inks that are ok will have a steady red light... press the small tab in front of the ink tank that is blinking and remove... insert and press down the new tank and make sure the red light is on to show you have replace the ink correctly...

This should work, let me know if you have any additional questions...

I have a canon Pixma IP3300 I have changed the ink and the printer comes up with an error saying change printer head what is this? Ads by Google

Check to see if you removed any protective tape on the cartridge. Check to see if you have it in place correctly. You may have a bad ink cartridge especially if you bought it used

CONTINUOUS FLOW INSTALLATION FOR IP3300

No . not very likely as the continous flow goes into the cartridge , correct? The electric contacts which must stay wet will still be wet.

Canon IP3300 won't print in black

I'm not sure but we have been having similar problems w/ both new and refilled cartridges. We notice that prior to putting the new cartridge, if it was placed upside down meaning on the flat side where it can stand up, we usually have problems w/ printing. Either no ink or streaks. I haven't tried this cuz I just finished tearing one cartridge apart. There is a small vent hold on the top near the middle. I was planning to get something that could plug the whole tight enough for a syringe neede to be able to pump air into the cartridge to force the ink out on the other side. It could be that the cartridge may have gotten some air. Though I'm not sure. I was going to do this but I have to leave in 10 min. If you pump air in do it gently and maybe 0.5-1ml. Make sure you have tissue or newspapers under the cartridge to absorb what gets pushed out. I would assume that the cartridge would not leak after I take the syringe out, I'd then try printing w/ it. No need to take the hole. It is canon's original vent hole anyway designed to stay have air passing through anyway. Let me know if you succeed. I will do the same thing tomorrow to see if it works.
