Plug the YP-U3 into your pc. Go to Control panel/System/Device manager Find device in portable devices. Right click on it and choose uninstall. Once uninstalled unplug device and plug back in. Windows will reinstall correctly. Worked for me! Good luck!

If its not working, try resetting the player to defaults and check if for any virus attacks in your computer too. use an original anti-virus software and remove all the unwanted software and clean up your computer. try after doing all these steps. i am sure you can transfer the files to your player from your computer.

All of those comment above was not a solution, except install the WinXP SP2 or install the OLD Windows Media Player version.

There is no support from Samsung company for Samsung YP-U3 product. So, don't buy Samsung MP3 player any more...

Hey guys. I too have the same model as u guys have. i found that the problem lies in the design of the model. Due to continuous opening and closing of the usb port the data bus that connects the usb port with the motherboard gets damaged. I got this problem rectified with the a help of an electricain who soldered the copper wires again and finally my player works fine again. If u have any doubts about opening the player just watch the disassembly of the player on ypu tube. It really helped me a lot to diagonise the problem.

I installed a 4 port hub to speed up my file tranfer to a flash drive. The files transfer but not any faster then using the front usb ports. It is normal?

Yes. While the speed from the USB device to the USB hub may be faster (USB 2.0 protocol, rather than the slower USB 1.1 protocol), your hub is still connected to a USB 1.1 port on your computer.

Can i charge an Olympus fe-4000 with a usb cable connected to my computer?

No. The camera does not incorporate any charging circuitry. You have to use the supplied battery charger to charge the battery. The USB cable is strictly for transferring pictures and videos to the computer.

How to install games and applications in memory card when i install java files it saves only in phone memory plz tell how to install in memory card

I think that u are copying and pastin in the wrong folder. With your usb cable, the option automatically comes up for eg. phone or removable disk e, click on removable disk which is your memory card and tranfer your files there. But make sure your phone is set on mass storage in usb mode. Go to settings, usb settings and chose mass storage. This might help.

Do you mean you want to tranfer audio files or music files from your computer to your phone so you can enjoy music on your device? If so let me tell you that BLUETHOOTH or the SOFTWARE CD are not the best or fastest ways to sync or transfer files from your computer to your phone or vise versa, so Im going to tell you the safest, fastest, and Easiest way to do it, using your USB ,but it may require you to change settings manually on your device first. Make sure you have a Memory card,
Choose settings for USB connections
1.Find "USB connection mo..."
  • Press the menu icon.
  • Press the fourth tab.
  • Press Phone settings.
  • Press Connectivity.
  • Press USB connection mo.... 2.Select setting
  • Press Mass storage
  • Press OK. 3.Exit

Once you've done this and have your memory in your device, Open the MY COMPUTER folder in your computer and connect your device to your computer using the USB cord, a new Icon will appear containing the folders from your device's memory card, that way you will easily be able to transfer files back and forth without the NEED of any sofware Cd's or use slow Bluethoot.

And Welcome to the Viewty Family! Enjoy...!
