D101GGC mother board makes long beeps and fail to boot up. I removed rams, dvd rom, floppy drive, hdd and finally removed the cmos battery for a minute and put it back. it failed to boot up. But once I...

The fact that the board is making a long beep is usually a sign of a memory problem. This may be the RAM has failed (try with one stick at a time or some new RAM ) But, it could be more serious- The memory controller can also cause the same problem. This can be on the motherboard or part of the processor. Your motherboard is now obsolete as there have been at least 2 new CPU sockets released since. You motherboard is old and so the problem is most likely to be a failed onboard memory controller. But, try the RAM first if the fault remains I would suggest a new board. Sorry!

Foxconn motherboard with no display and bios

1. Try re-seating your ram, video card, other pci cards, and cpu.

2. Check that all the cables are plugged in correctly.

3. Take the cmos battery out for 30 seconds to reset the Bios.

4. Just because the motherboard is getting some power doesn't mean it's not faulty. Check to make sure your power supply is good with a psu tester like one of these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=psu%20tester&bop=And&Order=REVIEWS&PageSize=20

If you do these things and your psu checks out to be good then your motherboard is dead...

Power, but no picture.

hi wes To,NOTE: Before making any attempt to remove or replace any part inside the casing, ensure that the power is off.

Well, the first thing that might be causing this is your memory card (RAM). Try to remove it and place it in another memory slot on the motherboard.

To be sure if your motherboard is still in good working condition, remove the memory card and power on the PC.

You should hear continuous beep sounds.

If you hear this then your motherboard is fine.

If placing the memory card in another slot does not work then the problem lies with the memory card itself. You will need to replace it.

It could also be that some faulting PCI cards are causing this error.

Try to remove your PCI cards. Normally a faulting PCI modem causes this type of error. Remove it and then power on the pc.

The processor cannot be faulty but still if you want to check it, remove the CPU Cooler fan. Then turn on the PC.

Place your finger on the processor for 2 seconds. You should find the processor heating up. Then turn it off immediately. If this works then your processor is good.
Remember not to leave it ON for more than 5 secs.

Pc just switching off completley after about 20 minutes and sometimes can be hours before it does it,why is this?

The most common problem in that cases is the temperature. Either the ventilation oppenings are closed by dust, or one of the blowers has stopped working. Open the case, clean the area using a vaccum and a brush and check for blocked blower.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

System hangs up frequently

Might be a loose RAM (memory stick). Try removing it and then connect it again properly and see if it solves the Problem.

Medion desktop does not boot up, screen blank.

Had same sounding problem with a Medion PC myself. I don't know the cause exactly but the fix I have is this:
Switch off PC, switch off PSU and unplug the power cable from the PC. Then press the power button on your PC. You may see lights and fans start up for just a brief second. This is because there was still charge in the PSU's capacitors which we needed to clear out.

You can now plug the power cable back in, switch on the PSU and turn your PC on.

(I realise this is too late for the original poster's uses but others may find it useful when searching for a problem!)

Boot up ishue

From the sound of it, the PSU is going. The long cool down time would indicate to me that is a rather large component that is not exposed to very much airflow. To help isolate this, you might want to try running the system with the cover off. If the problem stays about the same, I'd say it's the PSU. Check all the fans while you're at it.
