Question about Whirlpool Dishwasher Water Heater Thermostat Control - 303282
There is an ignightor, and a thermocoupling. The thermocoupling is a sensor that is used to tell if the pilot light is lite before it opens up the valve and lets a whole bunch of gas out.
The thermocoupler has a thin film on it from the gas burning. Take a piece of steel wool and clean it up.
