Question about T-Mobile Dash Smartphone

Heres my problem... i had gotten my phone stolen from my car a few months back. I have tried to search for the phone by using the "imei" search sites with no success at all. Is there any way a phone can be activated with this number changed, or altered??? if so, how do i find it??

You must call the police/your carrier to track the cell when its turned on and use...the imei is the same (can not be changed), but if the sim is still in it (this is normally changed so that you cant trace)...and or the network carrier is the same...(but if the network is change, charge it up to a loss)

How do I find out if my Samsung galaxy 5 is stolen or not ?

If your Samsung Galaxy S5 is missing and you don't know where it is, and are worried that it might have gotten stolen or maybe it's just lost somewhere in the depths of your living space..

You can easily find your phone on any Google search browser like your computer if you are logged in with the same Gmail account that's on your phone..

There's a new function now that let's you just type:
"find my phone" in the search area and Google will look for your device. It may or may not tell you where it is. If it does, the location will be within a 17 ft radius shown in Google maps style. If not, Google will give you options to troubleshoot that.

Plus, if it is nearby, you can Click on "ring" and Google will prompt your phone to ring at the highest volume. This should let you know if its in your area.. if you know someone who took your phone that is near you.. or if maybe you did lose it or it got stolen.. or maybe where you last dropped it.

Note: the phone does not have to have GPS on to ring the phone. GPS needs to be already activated on the phone for Google to find it on Google Maps though. Android Device Manager an alternative way to find the phone, also needs GPS to already be activated on the phone to communicate with it.

My samsung core 2 was stolen few days ago, so,how i can find my mobile by tracing imei no?

Presume your only resource is to notify your Cell Phome service so your phone should blacklisted.
Bad news is that serious phone hackers can by-pass this blacklisting or even sell it to international gangs which "re-export" stolen and hacked devices
So your only hope is that it was stolen by some amateur thief.

The IMEI or International Mobile Equipment Identity number is unique to a phone. It is now used in many locations to blacklist stolen mobiles, and can't be changed.

BLOCK STOLEN MOBILE USING IMEI NO.

Hi there.
Phone your service provider, tell them its been stolen, if its being used they will send a text to that phone which will disable it from being able to be used. As for tracking it has to have GPS installed in the original software.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!

Blocked phone through imei nokia n95 8gb

You have to contact your service provider .

The IMEI (serial number) block on the phone, which stops it being used with a different SIM card, this may take up to 48hours to clear.

Please try to contact Customer Services of your provider. They will help to get you back and running.

More info about IMEI, please click here to check:http://www.1010store.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=180

Lost mobile

As far as I know IMEI numbers are like registration numbers, they dont actually trace. I know with modems etc that have IMEI numbers they cant be traced. At telstra IMEI numbers were only like a registration number, my suggestion is to cancel the phone. only a suggestion though....
