I have an Asus P5PE-VM motherboard, it has onboard video and an AGP slot, the onboard video is on the fritz and looks like it has interferece everywhere and the screen flickers. I put in an AGP card hoping to fix it and I can't get it to start with it, when I boot the monitor gets no signal, the computer is started since it does respond to keyboard being hit.

The P5PE-VM has an AGP 8x expansion slot. So AGP 8x graphics cards would be compatible. AGP is old and got replaced by PCI Express. But you can still buy AGP cards. the Nvidia 7800 is the best AGP card you can get, because Nvidia stopped creating the technology for AGP cards with this one.

What are the compatible games for my gfx card???

Just about any modern game. If the game is compatible with your windows version, It will run on the graphics card

If you are experiencing lag, then turn down the settings. (I can help you with this)

if some games won't work, there is another problem

Glitch on ati

Many of the old games use graphic textures that are not to the power of 2. This will result in missing textures, scrambled textures, black screens and more.

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about this aside from making yourself an old pc or resurrecting an old one just to play them.

another suggestion is to drop the resolution down to 800x600 or 1024x768 and test there to see if this solves the issue.

As graphic cards advance they don't always hold a backwards compatibility. Its just what happens.

Your card or driver does not support directx9.0c 3D acceleration

Time for a video card upgrade. You are now two (almost 3) generations of video cards behind. If you are truly referring to a VooDoo card, you definitely need to upgrade to something newer. If the game you are trying to play says you must have a DirectX 9.0c compatible card, you will need to get a new video card. The good news is that just about any card you can buy new would be at least DirectX 9c compatible. The bad news is, I am guessing your card is PCI card. That being the case, you will be hard pressed to find a new one for sale.

Video Card Problem

hi. The amd semprom has similar to an intel celeron. These cpu's are not gaming cpu's. The graphics card you are using is now quite old- very few agp graphics cards are made now. I would say that the cpu and gpu may be the problem but it depends what game you are playing. New video cards use pci express slot and new cpu's are dual core and quad core. If you are serious abot games then you could do with a new motherboard- maybe one supporting an intel core 2 duo cpu, to that add at least a Nvidia 9600gt 512mb gddr3 video card and have 3-3 gb's of ram.
