Check the tensioner pulley that keeps the belt tight. It is next to the motor and the bearing may be shot.

My dryer turns on but wont run

There are several bimetallic heat sensor switches in a dryer. Check them first, then the continuity of the door switch, then the control unit ( I usually get mine rebuilt), finally the motor as a last resort.

Frig. gas dryer agq6000es not tumbling

Do you hear the motor running? With door closed.
Most dryers will spin though a little hard to do so. If it spins VERY easy the belt is possibly broken.
If the dryer is several years old it Could be the belt.
Also check for a switch for the door, if there is one.
Door switch would shut off dryer when opened.

LG DLE5977s electric dryer drum not turning when warm

Could be one of the "overheat thermostat switches" has failed, or is failing.
Could also be a big buildup of lint inside the machine (where you cannot see it) causing the switches to trip.
In the back or the bottom of the machine are from 3 to 7 "overheat thermostat switches" that are put there to prevent fire.
When the get hot, if they are bad, they will shut off the dryer until they cool off.
Kinda sounds like one is "trippin' ". If you choose to fix it yourself, you'll need a good electrical test instrument and several tools to take it all apart.
A question to "fixya" might get someone to tell you how step-by-step.
Be blessed.

Automatic Dry Function Has Stopped Working

There is a humidity sensor which acts as an auto cutoff switch in most driers, as your load auto dries , it senses the change in humidty and kicks the power off. It is often shaped like a flying saucer with wire terminals on the wings. That is likely your culprit, generally located close to the element. Based on your description, I would start there. Also test a load on timed dry, but it sounds like that's your problem. Remember to unplug before looking under the hood. Post back if you need further info

Dryer gets hot and drum is turning clothes are not drying. cleaned lint tray and removed tubing venting outside and the dryer is making a whining noise. the dryer is only 14 months old

If the drum is turning and the dryer is getting hot, then this is good news, as it means that the dryer is mechanically sound.

First check to see if the internal workings of the dryer are not blocked by running the dryer with the vent tube detached. If there is lots of warm moist air coming out the hole in the back of the dryer where the tube should be, then your dryer is fine.

Next, if you've checked the tube that connects the dryer to the wall or floor and it is clear, then on to step 3.

Probably you have a blocked or severely restricted vent tube from the wall or floor to the outside. Over time, these always become clogged with wet lint that builds up into a crust on the walls of the tubing.

Find the exhaust exit on the outside of the house and run a sewer snake up into it to see if you can open a hole in the blockage. If that works to help the air flow, then you need to replace the tubing from your laundry room to the outside, as it is probably a solid crust of lint that has built up over years.

Again, the good news here is that your expensive new dryer is probably fine.

Wash machine sometimes gets stuck on rinse cycle & dryer not dry

Sounds like the drain hose for the washer is too far down in the stand pipe at the wall causing a siphon effect, try raising drain hose a little. The dryer sounds like the vent line from back of dryer too wall is pinched causing an air flow obstruction. Hope this helps.

Frigidaire dryer

There is a switch under the lid,Look for a slot onder where the lid rests on the dryer, there is an actuator under there where the dryer lid when shut should avtivate, this switch is either bent out of place,or the little pin that hits it when shut is missing or broke off.
