Question about Dell Dimension 2400 PC Desktop
In addition to what meshteroo posted, when you swap out your processor and/or motherboard, you will have OS reconfiguration issues. That will trigger Microsoft activation, i.e., you'd better have your Windows key handy. I am not saying cpu/mb upgrades are not worth it. Just saying you should know what can of worms you're opening. ;-)

First of all you can't replace a hard drive with a CPU (AMD Phenom X2 is a processor), second your computer supports only socket 478 CPU's ( that means no AMD Phenom only older Intel Pentiu 4/Celeron CPUs. My recommendation is to replace the motherboard and CPU altogether. But since your knowledge is relatively low i think you should not do it by yourself.
