Hello. Use a piece of fine wire to clean each of the jets in the burners if they are clogged. J.

Blow it out with compressed air (canned air - air compressor or blow it out with the back side of a vacuum cleaner. Spiders love the smell of propane gas.

You do have fuel ... right? and the valve is on ... right?

Hi, my model 4651330 worked great the first time i used it. Now I can't get the grill to completely light. It seems like the gas is not being pushed through.

Turn the gas cylinder OFF and disconnect it from the valve. Wait 5 minutes and reinsert and screw the tank valve in. Once it's completely seated, turn the valve ON VERY, VERY, SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). One the valve is fully open, light the burner. Have the burner flames returned to normal? If so, you just solved the problem. If it didn't, turn the tank OFF and remove it. Then remove the cooking grates and lava rock, if you're using lava rock. Inspect the burner closely, as it may be clogged. It may even require removing the burner from the grill to clean it properly. Also, check the venturi valve. That's the thing on the side of the grill tht's part of the burner. It mixes air to the gas, so that there will be complete combustion. The venturi valve may have been moved by accident or it's clogged. The correct position of the fan like opening is 3/4's of the way open.

I have assumed you have made sure there's still gas in the cylinder.

Hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Viking gas grill - when I turn the knobs to lite up one of the burners, it rushes out the gas with a loud hessing sound. also there are flame coming out from where the gas comes out and goes into the...

What you have described sounds like a clogged burner as well as the venturi valve on the burner. Your will need to remove the burner to clean it and the venturi valve on the open end of the burner, that goes over the burner orifice. Spiders like to build nest in them and clog them up. The venturi valve will look like two slots, cut in to each side of the burner, at the open end. It's function is to mix air with the gas, for proper combustion.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

Sounds like the offending burners need to be removed, checked thoroughly for clogs and particularly the venturi valve on each burner. And while you have them out, remove the burner orifice of each burner and look for clogs.

Hope this helps you to further troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!

I live on the Coast, generally cooking for one, and have not had my Grill long 1.5 years. I've had problems with two of the three burners igniting and when they do they sputter and hiss and only a portion...

From what you have described and where you live (on the coast), it sounds as if the burner orifices and/Or burners may be clogged. You will need to remove the burners to clean them, but this is not a difficult job. Turn off your LP Gas Tank. And after removing the burners, tap each one gently on a firm surface to shake loose any foreign materials from them. Stand each burner on the Orifice end (the open end) and tap them again, gently. Look at where each was tapped to see if any foreign material or rust came out. Also carefully check the flame holes in each burner to make sure they're clear. If clogged use a needle or unfolded paper clip to clear the clogged burner holes. However, never use any thing larger than the existing hole to clean it.

After doing this, check the orifices for each burner. You can find them by looking at the interior part of the front of the grill, where you removed the burners from. If they appear clogged, clean them as you did the burner, but this time use a sewing needle no larger in diameter than the orifice hole. It's best to unscrew the orifices one at a time to do this. Be careful not to drop them.Replace the orifices and burners in reverse of how you removed them. Turn on your grill tank very slowly and then light each burner, one at a time.

If this solved your problem, remember to do it each year.

The burners are not burning properly. The gas line seems to be clogged. Do you have any troubleshooting suggestions?

Replace the hose and regulator if this is an LP grill...... or just the regulator if this is a NG grill.

Viking grill burner is clogged and fire is shooting out of knob. How do I clean my grill from excessive grease.

Is it still under warranty? I'd call Viking or a qualified repairman to fix it. If your burners are clogged, the flames should be coming out the venturi tube and flaming towards the gas valve knob. If the flames are coming out of the gas valve itself, then it will need to be regreased. If the burners can be removed without too much trouble, soak them in the sink with hot water and dishwashing detergent. Be sure to remove the knobs, so no one turns the gas on without the burners connected. If it's difficult, call a repairman.

Wont get hot fast takes for ever

It's most likely a blockage at the burners. Make sure the burners are clean of any loose rust, dirt or spider webs. Grease drippings can also clog the burners and reduce gas flow and flame.

Take the tank loose from the grill and open all the burners. Then close the burners and reconnect the tank.
SLOWLY open the tank just a little bit and light the burners with a stick lighter. That's what I do. Those new tans have a safety device in them that locks off the gas if the tank tilted even slightly or the gas valves are opened too fast.
