How do I press the reset button on my stiebel Eletron mini tankless water heater??

On all models, you must remove the cover to access the thermal safety reset. MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT THE POWER BEFORE OPENING THE CASE. On Miniâ„¢ models, the safety thermal reset button is a round, flat, black button located between the wiring block and water connection pipe.

Atwood 6gal self ignite wont stay lit

Are you sure of model number, as it doesn't indicate electronic ignition. That said, if you do have electronic ignition, there is a small thermal cut-out in power line (brown wire) to thermostat terminal. It is inside the clear plastic sleeve and is connected between power wire and thermostat. Pull it apart and remove that thermal cut out temporarily and just connect wire direct to thermostat terminal where other end came off. Now try it, if it ignites and runs good, replace that thermal cut out. If no better, get back to me. That thermal cut out is a safety device in case of flame up, so be sure to replace it once diagnosis confirms it is defective.

High temperature thermal cut-out has tripped

Type, model, brand, age of water heater, and general installation of water heater are unknown.

1) Electric tank-type water heater: replace thermostats and test elements.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-electric-problems-with-water-heater.html

2) Gas tank-type: replace gas control valve, clean air intake screen/ location varies by brand:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-gas-water-heater.html#intellivent

3) Tankless: call service technician, or replace tankless with tank-type and save money long-term.

4) Add comment and describe water heater using label located on side of unit, and include what you are doing to 'reset' the thermal cut-out.

My Tempra, 29 Plus quit heating. I checked the breakers and they are ON. Where is the thermal cut-out located ? How is it reset? What temperatue should I set on the dial?

Take off front cover, on the top of the two cylinders in there (the heating system) there will be a small red button. That is the Safety Thermal Cut out, depress that red button. It is similar to a circuit breaker. If the red LED comes on when you turn on hot water at a sink then that was the problem. I have on that trips periodically. Its annoying but not enough to replace the part yet. Good luck.

Hi, is not working, the machin is turn on but we don't have hot water

Possible causes and solutions:
  1. Safety Thermal Cut-Out Tripped, Reset.
  2. Not enough flow rate to activate unit, clean filter screen at unit, clean aerator at faucet.
I hope this has helped. Please rate the answer as to it's helpfulness. Good Luck and have a great weekend. Jeff

Bosch PowerStar125 won't heat and I can't get one element to work

It sounds like you have a copper canister unit. Ohm out the elements in that one canister. the directions are on the websight for bosch, or I can walk you through it. But you will need a digital multimeter to do this. If you have a blown element in that one canister, then the tco will not reset.
