Question about Xerox DocuColor 12 Printer
I want to add this on to a router,
Just add it to one of the router's lan ports..and after that access the tcp/ip protocol into the network card ...of the printer ..and choose to get an ip address automatically ..
This will add it into the network ..and all the other devices will be able to send jobs to its IP ..or just find it when you hit search for printer inside default gateway ..
If this do not work ..than you will have to configure the Ip and subnet mask ..and default gateway manually like this ..
the Ip will be the router's Ip +the number of the port ...so if the router is ..192.168.1.1...than the printer in number 3 port will be ..192.168.1.4 and the subnetmask will be :255.255.255.0 and the default gateway will be the router itself..192.168.1.1
the dns servers will either be configured automatically and in this case will take the network's ones from the router ..or insert the ISP dns same as in the router ..
