My printer doesn't scan and I can't find my start up cd to redown load software

Hi ,

It is a good step to reslove the scan issue in a printer by uninstalling and reinstalling the software so to install the software you will have to go to the hp website and then download the software.The website is www.hp.com/support ,once ur on the main page that says Hewlett Packard Technical Support select United States formt he drop down menu and thn click the arrow next to it.It will take you to the Support and Drivers page put in the model no HP PSC 2175 All-In-One InkJet Printer where it says for product and then click on the arrow .Then click on software and drivers download ,select the operating system and then click on the + sign nest to driver. Click on the download button and then click on download again .Save it on the desktop and run the setup and please remember that the printer needs to be disconnected while you are cunning the setup and also the priner software needs to be uninstalled before you download it .

Just select your OS. For some OS versions you may be able to order a new CD.

If the full software is not available for your all-in-one or is not installed, try initiating the scan from the computer. (Win7 and Vista offer Paint and Windows Fax and Scan (for some versions of Vista) that will acquire scans.) If the scanner has a transport lock, unlock it. Next make sure the USB connection is providing good bi-directional communication between the scanner and the computer. Try a new cable and a different port. If you have a USB hub or print server, try a direct connection.

The lexmark x2650 doesn't have the OCR software in it. I try to scan a document and edit it but can't because no OCR software included


To scan documents for editing and saving as PDF file, you will need to install the Lexmark OCR scan software on your computer. The Lexmark scan software (no downloadable version) is only available on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.


To install the OCR scan software from the printer installation CD:

  1. Insert CD into the CD-ROM drive. If the installation screen open, click Cancel.
  2. Double-click on My Computer / Computer.
  3. Right-click on Lexmark XXXX CD and select Open.
  4. Double-click on OCR.
  5. Double-click on Setup.exe to install the OCR software. Your operating system will then determine the language in which it is installed.

OCR doesn't work with WINDOWS 7 and my Lexmark X5650es printer


Try this approach:1. Uninstall your existing printer driver. On your computer, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark X5600 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. After the uninstall process, reboot your pc when prompted.2. When your pc turns on, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. On your computer, go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > click on Properties. Take note of the System Type.3. Use the link below to download and re-install the corresponding printer driver for your operating system:- Lexmark X5650 Printer Driver for Windows 7 32-bit- Lexmark X5650 Printer Driver for Windows 7 64-bitSimply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.4. To re-install the Lexmark OCR scan software, insert the printer software installation CD in your pc CD-ROM drive.5. Click on Install > Install Additional Software > select the Lexmark OCR Scan Software > continue with normal installation steps.
Then try to create a PDF or Scan and Edit text (OCR) to verify that the problem is fixed.

Im trying to scan a document but its saying error code 2106. i have it hooked up through wireless


Try these things:

1. place a doc to scan in the scanner. Close the lid and hit MENU, COPY document, START.

If that doesn't work you'll need to contact kodak. If it does then try this next:

2. Check for ADMINISTRATOR rights.

  1. RIGHT CLICK on the kodak icon and select Properties > Compatibility tab > Run this program as an administrator
  2. Select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
  3. click APPLY
  4. click OK
Then try scanning again. If it still doesn't work then-

Reload the driver:

  1. select Start > Run.
  2. Type %windir%, then click OK.
  3. Double-click twain_32.
  4. Right-click Kodak, then select Delete.
  5. Insert the KODAK All-in-One Printer Software CD into the appropriate drive, then go to (cd drive: > printer > scanner.
    Double-click aioscannr.msi, then follow the instructions to remove it
  6. Then go to cd drive: > printer > scanner, then double-click aioscannr.msi, and follow the instructions to install the file.
  7. Open Home Center Software
  8. Select Scan Documents and Pictures.
  9. Scan a document
If it still doesn't work then you'll need to take it in for service.

erm your best bet is to find where you installed the scan software and find the icon there. Once you fond it create a shortcut to that icon on the desktop.

it is but you may not have downloaded it of the cd wen you loaded it on to your computer.
replace the cd then redown load it or go to fix on the cd start program

Driver lost need to redown load lost disk


Go to www.epson.com. Click on the support link, lookup your specific printer model # and select the operating system you are running. A list of all available software/drivers will appear. Download and install and you will be all set. Hope this helps.

Photo smart 2610 all in one scanner will not scan


hey i also had this type of problem. but i solved it and hope it will solve yours too.
first of all uninstall all ur hp drivers and softwares related to the hp printer. then restart your pc. now disconnect ur printer with ur computer and turn it off and again on after 15 secs.
now insert the cd which i have got with the hp printer in the cd-driver of ur pc and install the driver.
after the installation is complete, connect ur printer, but do not remove ur cd.
then start scanning, and if it will again ask for installing driver, u dont have to worry it will install it from the cd.
this would surely help u, if problem persists, please tell me.

Loaded cd software for lexmark printer ,and not working


1)right click the my computer icon
2)click properties and then click hardware n go to device manager.
3)uninstall all usb ports and then scan for hardware changes
4)ur pc will detect your printer and ask for printer drivers
5)re load drivers and your pc will communicate with your printer
6)for reloding install the cd follow the instructions on the screen and click next
7)restart when the printer is loded.connect the wires and cords properly.
