Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
Will this also cure the timer light blinking issue? I just got this same model TV from a buddy for free. It won't show picture or sound. The fan kicks on momentarily, but the timer light blinks for a minute then stops.

That model has alot of issues with jamicon capacitors being bad. They are on every board of that model. I would suggest leaving it be, then if the problem gets worse. Then replace all jamicon capacitors at 1000uf on the entire chassis and your set will be fine. I would however suggest getting the service manual as they are involved getting apart, but a service center will charge an astronomical fee to service the set, and most do it at board replacement instead of component level repair. which is hundreds of dollars compared to a few dollars for new capacitors. Here is a link where you can get the proper afctory service manual if youd like one.
