Tep 2 Here are two tricks I want to share with you before we get into the tools.

The first one is Add/Remove Programs. I also included this feature in the Step above. You reach this feature by go to: Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. If your problems occurred right after you installed a new program, find that software you recently installed and click on it. A button should appear on the right-hand side which says either Remove or Change/Remove. Click it. Follow the prompts in order to uninstall the program.

The second trick I want to tell you about is Removing Temporary Internet Files.
Open Internet Explorerpc really slow to resond - mag-glass_10x10.gif and find Tools. Click Internet Options. Under the General Tab and the heading of Browsing History, click Delete. A new box will pop up, click Delete All. Check "Also delete..." box and click OK.
To do the same in Mozilla Firefox, open Firefox and choose Tools. Click Clear Private Data. Put a check in all of the checkboxes and click Clear Private Data Now.
What this does is remove temporary files that your computer automatically saves when you browse the internet. It's designed to make browsing faster by storing already viewed data for use later when the same information is accessed again. The problem is that it is a hotspot for viruses and infected files. Also, there may be a lot of these files depending on your settings and if you have ever done this process before. Cleaning out this folder will make our future virus scans quicker and save us a lot of time.
Step 3 Now it is on to the tools. I have mentioned the "free" aspect a few times in this guide and it holds true. However, the next program is not free to everyone, but it's important enough for me to include.
Also, I introduced you to Safemode in a paragraph above. After installing and updating but before running scans with the programs below, start your computer in Safemode and then runs the scans. This will allow the programs to remove threats that it may have problems removing otherwise in normal mode.

Mozilla Firefox
http://www.firefox.com
If you have never heard of Firefox, you are missing out. Think of it as how Internet Explorer should work. It does all of the same things but better. It will open quicker and keep your computer more secure. Download, install, and say goodbye to Internet Explorer.

Slow connection

Slow internet connections happen for various reasons, even when you pay for a 'high speed connection'like DSL or cable.Because the internet (and World Wide Web) is built on hundreds of different technologies trying to talk to each other, there are many places where data can slow down before its reaches your computer screen. Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) might be at fault, certainly, but there are many other factors to look at before assigning blame. Some of these slow points are within your control, and can be quickly fixed with a little do-it-yourself effort:

- Refresh your internet connection
- Shutdown your router for minimum 10 minutes so that your back end IP can be change by service provider
- Remove your Temporary files from your system
- Try to use Reginout for constantly refreshing internet connections

Slow internet on lenovo u350

There are so many reasons can cause a Lenovo U350 running slow than it used to, it is hard to identify just what might be dragging down your Lenovo's performance, let alone implement the necessary technical adjustments to fix it. So if you want to address the issues more easily, I'll recommend you try a Lenovo speed up software.

Over 10+ small utilities packed into one to help detect & fix all slowdowns in 1 click.

Good luck!

It takes a long time to load internet pages and often hangs. My internet connection speed is reasonable it at 128kbps.

I would do 2 things. First scan for viruses. You can download Malwarebytes free HERE. Install it and let it update then run a full scan. Second download Ccleaner HERE . Install and run the cleaner which will remove junk files and temp files including your temp. internet cache and cookies amoung other unwanted junk that slows down your computer. This should speed up your connection unless you have a hardware problem which would be difficult to diagnose online. Good Luck!

Page loads very slow.. In night time pages loads very very slow. bearable.. wat to do?

Hi,

As you mention it's just at night, it may be that it is peak time for internet usage.

A lot of service providers will restrict speeds during these times to deliver a fairer service.

It may be worth while to contact your provider.

Slow internet issue

It may actually be you're internet at fault as opposed to the notebook.

You can try a variety of things:
  • Check to see if anyone else is using the internet, that may slow it down a lot.
  • Try different places around your house if using wireless or trying rebooting your modem.
  • Talk to your Internet Service Provider about any networking issues they may be having.
  • Reboot your modem.
  • Check if theirs anything around your house interfering with your internet.
  • Check if theirs any programs on your notebook hogging internet.

904346-0403 Trackball: my mouse is slow...

Some tips..
this is not to say all that has happened, loads of time consuming tips are at the mouse company, which has pages and pages of tests.
Mostly when this happens to me, it is my pc overclocking it's P4 Processor.
ctrl + alt + delete = start the task manager, after that look at the cpu or processor usage. Nearing 100% all the time freezes the mouse and the pages. The issue is probably that people need to get and monitor a firewall and turn off a lot of background services sneaking in, delete cookies a few times each day, and set to delete everytime you close down the browser OR shut down your internet so it does not sneak on in the background using your pc for it's own advantage. Make sure your start up programs are heavily limited or monitored and that programs aren't allowed to do whatever they want. One is REAL PLAYER. Can be a nightmare. Many programs take over your pc and slow down things, it's important to learn what is happening with all this stuff using your pc at it's own will mercy, which is really merciless mos to the time.

Internet

  1. Look at the network connection icon wheter its blinking or not during refreshing the web page.
  2. If it does not blink check connection between router and pc
  3. check Netgear internet settings.
  4. Check if there is any block settings in the router.

Window Vista has lots of updates, and it's bit defender is working everyday to check your pc. This is really slowing your programs including Internet Explorer.

To test if your Windows is haveing problems or not, you might download a linux live CD such as PClinuxOS or Knoppix to test the connection.

If you can browse the internet no problem then it would be your Windows has a problem.

Fast Page Loads Slow Downloads

it really depends on how far you are from your Router. The farther you go, the weaker the signal gets resulting in slower speeds. Slower speeds will not affect web page load times (they are tiny parts of data) but will definately affect download speeds. You need to be as close to the router as possible or get perfect range. You can put the router at higher elevation in the room to get a better range to start with. Let me know if this works for you.
