Question about Goodman CLQ36AR49 Air Conditioner
The unit will come on but the fan doesn't run. It will operate again after I turn off the unit, wait a few minutes then turn it back on.
If the outdoor fan is not coming on, then the unit is going off on high head pressure. You need to get the fan running before you unit unit will operate.
Disconnect all the power from the unit, Try spinning the fan blade if it spins freely, then the bearings are ok, if not, the bearings are bad and the motor needs replaced. Check the capacitor to see if it has a bulge or is distorted, if it does the capacitor is bad, if not you need to check the capacitor, sometimes you can take it to your parts store and they will check it for you.
If the capacitor is good and the motor spins freely, then with the power turned back on check to see if you have the proper voltage at the fan terminals. If you do then the motor is bad and needs replaced.
If you don't, then you need to be looking for a broken or loose wire.

Good Afternoon Gwen - Try reprogramming the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the unit back on. If issue persists, then the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with a wiring failure, EOC (electronic oven control), sensor probe and/or faulty bake or broil element. I would strongly recommend consulting a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause.

First turn the main power off to the unit at the breaker, wait about five min. and switch the breaker back on, then see if this solves the problem. In the instalation manual that came with the unit on the last page you will see a code of the red blinking light, this will tell you the most likely problem if not solved by switching the breaker on again.............Hope this helps
