Question about Home
Sounds like something jamed in the impeller. But you should first check the motor to see if it is fried (expensive fix).
To test a motor first turn off the breaker and test with a voltmeter that it really is off. Pull the leads off the motor (note which lead goes where first or your screwed). Do a continuity test across the terminals. One should be the common and all other coils should have continuity to that terminal. If you have continuity you will read a reasonable amount of electrical resistance in Ohms. If you read infinite resistance then the coil is broke and you need a new motor.
If you pull anything apart make sure that you test it for leaks before use.
