The total count will flash on the display in 3 digits sets. You need to have the copier ON & hold the "0" botton for a few seconds & it will flash the total count

How do you test a throttle poston sensor

Back probe wire harness with hat pin & use your
volt meter to read both sides, as you open & close
the throttle plate (Component Testing)
Can look at it with scan tool also
Should have PCM/ECU 5V on one wire,two
sensors wires & a ground
You connect your black meter lead to a
good ground
You probe each wire one at a time
Have 5V on computer voltage
Have 0 to 5 one one sensor
Have 5 to 0 on other sensor
Nothing on gorund

Power meter on my dx-979 barely moves off of 0 when transmitting the swr meter also hovers around 1.0 no matter what channel...not used to seeing such low swr readings and almost nothing on the power...

I would check the radio with an external meter to see if it is the transmitter or the Meter in the radio. If it is the meter in the radio it could have a bad detection Diode or just oout of adjustment or even a bad calibration pot. other wise start looking to fix your transmitter like finals or other similar problem.

Well, some meters are set different than others,to see what is going on,you need a good WATT-SWR meter, but that is not a bad reading of SWR, you can get one at Radio Shack. You can not go by the meter that is on the radio,it,s probably not set right. hope this helps..

Meter reading

2 ways to check the meter.

press the user tools button on the op panel. on the screen press counter. you can either view the counter on the screen, or press print counter, and it will give you a hard copy.

the 2nd way is to look behind the front cover, probably behind a piece of tape, on the right side, about half way down.

Post oil change set up number on odometer back to 00

  • I filled up at a gas station for the 1st time yesterday, and I wanted to zero out my trip odometer so I could compare mpg by hand vs. the computer. But pressing the little 0,0 button did nothing. Pressed several times, then ended up holding it down too long which put the computer into diagnostics. Had to restart the car twice to get out of diagnostics, but after that, when I pressed the 0,0 button it reset the trip 'meter to zero like it is supposed to. Don't tell me, the software is made by Micro$oft and needs constant rebooting to function properly
  • I had this happen the first time I tried to reset. I held the button down waiting for it to go to zeros. It didn't. Then I held it down again for about 2 seconds and released and it reset. I've been doing the 2-second-then-release ever since and haven't had an issue.
  • i noticed initially that it took just a real quick depress for it to reset to 0. Every time i held longer than a half second it wouldn't reset. So just a quick jab should do it. Although if you keep having problems you may want to have your SA look at it.
I hope this answers your question.

Dryer turns on doesnt dry

Suspect heating element or thermal fuse. The heating element and fuse can be checked with an ohm meter. The reading should be 0-2 ohms on both devices. If heating element reads infinity (nothing) replace heating element and fuse. If the fuse reads infinity then replace the fuse.
