Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
Easy solution is to cushion it by something soft like a towel underneath to avoid bumps on the road. Usually this king of equipment is not fancying too much "action". The more steady it remains on your trip, the better.

Have you got the internet connected to your Xbox 360? If so, i have two relevent answers:
1: Don't press update, i've heard that the update is not a necessity to playing the game.
2: Contact the store that you rented it from or; Contact microsoft and tell them the problem.
If you haven't got the internet connected to your xbox 360 then it WON'T work.
