Question about Computers & Internet

I have a flat screen computer monitor that I bought from a yard sale and it did not come with a power cord. The model number listed on the back does not come up with the company's registry. How can we find a power cord for this?

Does the monitor have anything on it that can identify the company that made it at all? If so I may be able to help out. The best way to get a power cord for it though would be to go to a computer store like best buy and show them the monitor and they would be able to easily show you what type of power pack or cable you would need.

Most of the time this type of generic power cord will work,http://www.directron.com/cbl-pow.html You can also check with local computer repair shops, plus stores like the D.A.V., Salvation Army, and thrift shops.

Typically, the power cords are generic in nature, same as the cpu.

Someone gave me a emachinine tower model t1742 no cords

I have purchased many different computer cords from stores, flea markets, and yard sales. Sometimes, you can find a small computer repair shop in your local area that will help you with the cords you might need and if you are really lucky, they might give you one or at least have a used cord to sell you. I know power cables can run 10 to 25 dollars retail, but I have purchased them for a little as a dollar from yard sales.

I recently got a TCO'03 Display at a yard sale..it has a power cord but where do i plug in into my computer?

You don't plug the power cord into the computer. You plug the power cord into an AC outlet. You need a VGA cord for connecting the monitor to the computer. Walmart, K-Mart, Radio Shack, Staples, OfficeMax, and any of many other stores should have the cable.

I purchased at yard sale. Need power cord to determine if set works. Any ideas where I might find one?

Look at the power connector on back of set. You will probably see 3 recessed prong's. You should be able to use the same type of cord as on a computer or monitor. You can get one at
any home center or electronics store like Walmart, BestBuy, hardware stores, etc.

I picked up this monitor at a yard sale it says dc input?? is this the power supply? how do i hook up a ac cord?

If it says DC input and there are no other socket which has three prongs(this is for the AC input), all you need is an adapter, which you will plug to a wall socket and the other end would be plugged to the flat panel, it works like a transformer, just like any power supply, like for laptops, just try to find the correct voltage, 12v,16v or whatever is needed by the panel. Often you can find the voltage require on the panel itself, reading as POWER INPUT, xx volts or Power requirement.

How to connect emachine flat monitor to my computer?

Hello,

It sounds as if you are missing the power cord for the monitor. If the cord did not come with your monitor/PC, you can pick one up at any Radio Shack or electronics store. If you could forward me your eMachine model number as well as the monitor model number, I will see if I can better solve this for you without you having to spend anymore money.

Best Regards,

If "messing" around with the CRT connection on the back of the monitor causes it to work then I suspect there is some physical damage to. Specifically what connection/connector did you mess with? I can give you more advice if you give me more to go on.
