Wep key means a security key to trouble shoot this follow this guide. This error code usually indicates a problem relating to wireless security. Please try the following troubleshooting: Are you using WEP or WPA security on your router? Log into the router using the default IP (consult your router's manual for assistance) Locate the "wireless security" section of your router settings and find the WEP or WPA key. If you are using 64-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 10-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F. If you are using 128-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 26-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F. The WEP Key must be a Hexadecimal (0-9, A-F, no other special characters or letters). If your router has multiple slots for a WEP Key, make sure the active key is the one in the #1 slot. If you are using WPA, the Wii console is compatible with the following types: WPA - PSK (TKIP) WPA - PSK (AES) WPA2 - PSK (AES)
If your WEP or WPA key is correct, then the problem might be related to MAC address filtering: From the router settings, locate the "MAC address filter" settings (also known as "access control", "access list", or "network filter" depending on your router model). If the Mac address filter is set to "enabled", then you must add the Wii's MAC address to the "allowed" list. You can locate the Wii's MAC address from the "console information" page (located under "Internet" in the Wii Settings). If the Mac address filter was disabled, then continue troubleshooting.

Check Nintendo's router info for special notes, if available, for your router. Click here to go to our Wireless Router lookup page. Use the drop-down box to select, if available, your router manufacturer. Click on your router's model number, if available. Read any "special notes" at the top of the router's page. Many issues can be solved by changing settings described in the "special notes."

Try a "Manual Setup" with the Wii console (how to), using your network's IP configuration settings. To access these settings: On your PC, click "Start" and then "Run." Type "CMD" into the field that appears to open a new window. Type "IPCONFIG/ALL" and press "Enter" to display a list of internet settings. Locate the settings asked for by the Wii console during the Manual Setup process and enter them.

Power cycle your router and modem by unplugging them both from the wall. Wait a few minutes, and plug the modem back in. Wait a couple of minutes for the modem to initialize, then turn on the router. Try to connect the Wii console online and test for proper response. if you require further assistance please let me know and i will be glad to assist you. -Midwest-tek

We are trying to sign on to our home network but the WEP key, after entering, keeps saying settings are invalid. What exactly is the WEP key? What do we need to do?

Are you trying to connect to your internet connection for wireless? If it is, the WEP key is the password that you set up for your wireless device so that devices that can see the your wireless network will be able to connect by entering the right WEP key. If you didnt change the WEP key of your modem or router, then the default WEP key will be found at the back of your device, but if you had changed it before then, that's the WEP key that you need to enter.

How do you get the dsixL to conect to internet.

Hi. Welcome to fixya!
Follow the steps below to connect your device to the internet.
1. Turn on your Nintendo DsixL and click on the wrench icon to access the system settings. 2. Scroll to the third page and select INTERNET. 3. Then choose Connection settings. 4. Click "None" for Connection 1 5. Click "Search for an access point" 6. It will now search for any access points within range. Once it's done with the search it will display the wireless networks it finds. 7. Look for your wireless network. 8. If you see an image like this cattyrific_3.jpg tap on your network name and save your settings and begin a connection test. An image prompt of Connection successful would mean that you are now connected to the internet.
9. If you see an image like this cattyrific_4.jpg means your connection is locked with a security code. You need to enter your WEP key in order to connect to the internet. Your WEP key is the one saved in the settings of your router. Just type it in to begin the connection. When connection is successful you are now connected to the internet.
10. If you see an image like this cattyrific_5.jpg means your connection is secured with a WPA and requires a security key. You need to type in the WPA key to begin connection. Just enter the one saved in your router settings. When done it will connect you successfully and your now connected to the internet.

Error code 51330 unable to connect to the internet choose internet setting and then confirm your connection then it is tellin me to vist this sit i am wondering cam u help

The error 51330 normally means that the password or WEP key you entered to connect to the internet through the Wii did not match the one the wireless router needs to allow connection.
If you don't know the password, check to bottom of your router, it will usually have a sticker on the bottom with the standard password on it. This can also be marked as WEP key or WPA key. Enter that password exactly as it appears there, as it is case sensitive. If the password is correct and the problem still exists, try turning your router off, waiting 30 seconds to a minute, then turning it back on. Let it set itself up again, this will usually take a minute or two, then try connecting your Wii to the internet again. If the problem continues, try altering your routers wireless channel setting. As most routers work on channel 6 by default, there could be interference. This process is different for each router.

What does error code 50300 mean. we cannot connect to internet.

Hiya!

Your error code 50330 is usually caused by incorrect internet connection settings, such as network name, WEP/WPA keys, or any manual settings.

To solve this error, try each of the possible methods:

  • Ensure you have correctly entered basic information such as network name (SSID) and WEP/WPA keys.
  • Try changing the channel of your wireless router to either channel 1 or channel 11 which can increase download speeds. Be sure to test both channels to see which works better or faster.

Can't connect Wii. WEP key is correct.

either your internet provider does not support the wii or vice versa. another possible problem is that you have the WEP strength set wrong. IE: having 64 bit and treating it as 128 bit.
