Why can I hear 50 rear projection tv no picture yes on sound?

The projector and the audio system for the TV are completely separate. There are many reasons your projector may not be working, however it's failure will not always effect the audio which runs through it's own circuits and amplifier to the speakers. Think of this as if you had your computer's VGA out plugged into a projector and the mini audio output plugged into amplified speakers. One will not effect the other unless your problem is a loss of power.

sorry, saying so much words, back to your question.
firstly, inspect the connect cable, then note some outside signal disturb, if you exclude these two reason. perhaps you should find a repairman help you to remove dusty. if all these action can't solve with your trouble, you have to think about the reason of DMD.

Lamp light flashing when projector turned on.

Ordinarily this is not a problem. usually this happens to virtually every projector at start up. Reason is the projector needs to warn up before it project/beam unto the screen. But if you are saying it continues to flash endlessly, that is another issue. At any rate that doesn't seem to be the case since you didn't say so.

Having the yellow flashing light

Sounds like maybe a power surge killed the TV. If it is newer, try contacting the Manufacturer for warranty repairs.

hi-
before you send it to a repair shop pls try to remove all the devices that you attach to it and check if you are still going to get those light whites after awhile, or try using a different device in which it uses a different cable, did you attach a receiver as well from the tv to projector? try changing the cables as well. update me after you performed this steps, if it resolve it pls rate as fixya if not pls reply back. Yamaha LPX 500 home cinema projector isn't lighting up

The reason for a red light is replacement of lamp or it is running too hot. Have you checked for proper venting, and cleaned them recently. The bulb usually lasts 2000 hours, so you may need another.

There could be several reasons for this problem.
1. New lamp needed.
2. New lamp did not fix? Could be mirror tunnel behind the color wheel than can collapse causing "dim" light source or dark lines.
3. All items "greyed" out caused when the unit does not sense a source input, ie computer or tv tuner. After connecting to a source, you should be able to go and adjust contrast and/or brightness settings
