Question about Mitsubishi MS09TW Air Conditioner

Open Question

Mitsubishi MS09TW Mr. Slim dual indoor units - one not cooling.

We are renting a condo that has a Mitsubishi MS09TW Mr. Slim with 1 outdoor unit (compressor) and 2 indoor units. One unit is working (cooling properly), but the other is not. It turns on and the fan works (air comes out and vanes move) -- but no cooling. The compressor is working and there is no sign of leakage outside. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong?

SOURCE: Mr.Slim Mitsubishi dual zone system

We had that problem with two units that we just had installed. Both are hooked up to one compressor. After several calls and the service person coming out twice, it turned out that they had two wires mixed up when they did the installation. Once they switched the wires the units ran ok.
BUT...now we are having another problem with the units/compressor not working after losing power in our house. We lose power on a regular basis here. Does anybody know if that means we will constantly need to call the service people to come to get the compressor working again? Or is there anything we can do to reset it? The service person that came today was not very helpful and didn't have a lot of answers for us.
Thanks

Mitsubishi mr slim compressor fan won't turn off

The outdoor fan is supposed to be on almost all the time if the indoor unit is on. It is designed to do this due to energy consumption is from the start of motors. These fans use nearly no electric about as much as a light bulb. If your unit is cooling and no problems have occurred then its probably doing what is supposed to

Reason for water leaking.

P8 showing on air cond and air con is not working

P8-Abnormality in outdoor unit.

Solution:
1) Check the indoor/outdoor connecting wire in proper point.
2) Change the connection of electric wiring, if reversed phase.
3) Check the protection device, if malfunction, replace it.
4) Measure the resistance of the outdoor coil thermistor.
If the resistance is normal, replace the
outdoor controller board
Thanks.

Its not working and flashing P6. Its a Mr Slim

dear sir/madam i think.... mr Slim A control R407c & R410a systems.
P6 = indoor coil frost protection in cooling or indoor coil overheat protection in heating.

Cooling
One of the 2 indoor coil sensors reads minus 15 deg C for 3 mins.
Heating
One of the indoor coil sensors reads over 70 deg C.

If you are sure the refrigerant charge is correct & system operation is correct then it could be a coil temperature sensor reading wrong temperature.
If you have one of those little monitor things which plug into the outdoor circuit board you can monitor the indoor coil temperature.
On later type remote controllers you can get all operating data like temp sensor data but you will need a service manual to do this.
Or you can measure the ohms resistance of the temp sensors & compare with the chart in the service manual. if you can do it by yourself do if not then contatct ot mitsubishi maintenance personnnel for furhter action, thank you hope answer the question please vote!

Fan works, air conditioning does not. Try resetting the power (in the proper sequence - outdoor unit followed by indoor unit). Air conditioning came on briefly (less than a minute) than stopped, leaving...

Without seeing the unit,

1 - the condenser fan (which is in the outdoor unit) could be blown. This would cause the unit to go off on high head pressure.

2 - it could be low on refrigerant, which makes it do nothing but blow room temperature air around. The unit would go off on low pressure

3 - the filter is dirty, blocking the cooling

4 - the compressor could be shorted, or a corroded wire somewhere that feeds the contactor

Mr. Slim Ductless Splits are the best on the market and should only be repaired by a trained technician.

Hope this helps.
