Question about Canon Pixma iP6600D InkJet Photo Printer
I have changed the yellow colour cartridge and Error 5100 appears. Printer makes grinding noise when I attempt to start it.
I had the exact problem described and it was the following:
one of the ink cartidges had popped out of place "inside" the printer housing on the right hand side, and was catching as the printer tried to start up.
By using a thin object such as a ruler, I could press the ink cartridge back into place to allow the ink cartidges to come out from the printer side area. Once out I properly reseated the ink and all seems fine.
