Question about Boating
Where is the power source to the ignition coil?
It depends on the design of the motor. some older ones are points and condensor and newer ones are ignition modules and there are even some that are a combination of the two. there is also a part called a stator that is part of this system. most of these parts are under the flywheel and require meters and specs to test them. the first thing is to see if you are getting spark at the plug wire with an inductive timing light you put around a plug wire while you turn the motor over. if it flashes you are getting spark. good luck.
