I have a pioneer car sterio that I need to remove how do i get it out of my dash? do i need a special tool

If it's an aftermarket stereo, it can be removed without taking the dash apart. It depends on how it was installed. Remove the thin plastic collar from around the radio, it may be easier to remove it with the faceplate detached. Look on the sides for thin metal tabs you can press then in and slide the radio out carefully with a flat screw driver.

Some installers will screw the radio into a dash assembly and the radio will not come out until you remove the dash. Usually cars that have a black plastic pocket either directly above or below the radio are screwed in and don't come out as easy.

If you remove the faceplate and collar, and see a thin metal cage around the radio it should slide out nice and easy with a flat screw driver or the "keys" that come with the radio when purchased new. These "keys" are just long skinny flat pieces of metal and are real cheap.

My car radio needs a code its in a pugeot 206 and its a tape player the make is panasonic the model number is 22rc200/655 the product number is fd0200440100650. any help much appreciated

Post the 14 character SERIAL NUMBER beginning with PH* * * * * * * * * * * * found stamped in the metal casing.
Also post the SECURITY NUMBER. This is found on a label on the metal casing in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode
If in doubt post ALL the letters+numbers on any labels or barcodes
note...The 22rc200/655 is a PHILIPS unit

Radio is locked in bmw need code

The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code
First remove the radio from the dashboard.
Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

1998 BMW M3~ asking me for a stereo code?

Normally within the USA,if you call a BMW dealer they will provide it for free. However,I have seen a few higher end cars call the dealer and they want an ourageous amount of money. If that is the case, here is a link to get it much cheaper. If you google 'factory stereo unlock codes' to price shop, many sites will appear. You will need the VIN.Good luck! Why, when listening to DAB radio in the car (professionally fitted) is some of the speech occassionally repeated ?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to Fixya.com.

Although the DAB signals are less prone to interference, they're currently weaker than FM signals, which can cause problems if you're in a fringe reception area .Please check into this. Moreover DAB radio stations are "compressed", so that lots of stations can be squeezed into the available bandwidth. Because of this compression, some stations on DAB are not in as good a quality and you are getting repetition issues. Thanks for contacting Fixya and please accept the solution if it has helped you.

I need the radio code for 92 bmw 325i

Hello,

Here is a site that will provide the radio code for $28.99.

http://www.radio-code.com/

You will need the serial number of the radio. There are 2 ways to retrieve the serial number. The first way does not require removal of the radio: 1) With the key in the off position - HOLD DOWN THE "M" RADIO BUTTON 2)WHILE HOLDING DOWN THE "M" BUTTON, TURN ON THE KEY AND THE RADIO 3) SERIAL NUMBER WILL BE DISPLAYED 4) WRITE DOWN THE RADIO SERIAL NUMBER. The second method requires removal of the radio. The site above does not support that method of retrieval. In that case, you should probably check with your local BMW dealership.

Hope this helps!
