The problem seems to be that you have lost some drivers.Put your windows disk in,and reboot from the disk (CD drive((tap) delet, during the boot up process. You'll get a screen asking to slect your boot prioritity set to the Cd then windows will load all the drivers. You'll next get a window asking if you want to install.DO NOT INSTALL,look to the left side bottom, you'll see a repair botton click that. This process can take awhile,so to make it go a bit faster, unplug as much of any add ons you have ie.printer/flash drive or webcam. This should help, just take your time and read befor you click. After windows starts and your logged on remove the CD,try rebooting the system,if it starts with no problems, create a repair disk asap you could also create a boot disk so you don't have a problem like this again.I can help you with this I'd just need to know what operiting system you have.good luck

EMachines eMD620 suddenly shutdown and not boot anymore

When this happened was the laptop overly hot? If the laptop's head got too high it could have shutdown to protect itself. It wouldn't boot until the heat had disparate. Sit you laptop aside for about 30 minutes and see if it will boot then. If it does you might want to check out a cool mat.

Gigabyte GA 8GP NXP DUO

Hi, A couple of possibilities/things to try: 1. After reset & remove battery, go to the CMOS/BIOS setup and load default configurations; 2. "...loading windows ... screen goes black..." are you installing a fresh clean Windows or are you using an image/recovery of your old Windows. If it's an image/recovery, it is possible and very likely that the OS is no longer recognizing the motherboard as the old motherboard because of the BIOS update. Perhaps you should try a clean fresh install. 3. try booting in to a simple bootable diskette/CD of FreeDos or Dos 6.2 or variants, just to check if the motherboard will finish POST and BOOT. Post back that we can figure out other possibilities or should you need further information. Hope this be of some idea/help to you. Good luck and kind regards.

After booting up all I get is a black screen

Try this:

If you're booting up the device and it goes thru the Post test and then goes to a black screen this usually means your OS has crashed.
You will need your Operating system or Recovery Disk.
I hope you've backed up your data and files.

Try this:

Windows 7

Vista:

My hp g61 will only display a blank/black screen with the cursor after it has finish booting

That cursor is the way in which the BIOS of the laptop is telling you that Windows is completely corrupted and unbootable. You will need to reinstall it so use the recovery cd that came with the laptop.

Dell 8400 No Boot, not even POST

It sounds like your bios were improperly flashed or went bad. The X300 SE message is your video card. So your video card works, the system mostly works, but the BIOS isn't starting up. You should contact Dell and tell them the situation.

Gateway/vista black screen with no ctrl+alt+del but a nice cursor

Try this, before it boots up and just after in posts press F8, it should bring up a page where you can choose your boot option, choose "Safe Mode", if the computer does boot to safe mode there are a few steps you can do to remedy this.

First goto my computer, c:drive/windows and scroll down to a folder called prefetch open the folder, highlight everything in that folder by left clicking once on one of the icons and holding control(ctrl) then pressing A once everything is highlighted hold down the shift key and press delete, everything should now be gone, exit out of all the windows do a disk clean up, my computer right click on c:drive (your main drive) and click on disk cleanup tick all boxes and then click ok to start deleting the temp files. once finished reboot mechines and leave it to boot up. if you still are having problems or it wont boot up into safe mode post back. cheers.
