How to stop Facebook from sending you email

So this is a pretty common issue I've seen, and frankly it's pretty easy to solve. There are a few ways you can go about it.

First you can disable all of the emails being sent by going to Account> Account Settings > Notifications and just going through and disabling anything being sent to an email. However, in my experience this also disables the notifications sent to you through facebook (the ones in that little world sign), and you may want some of those. Well in that case you can do this:

Go to Account > Account Settings and on the main settings page the third option down is Email, press change. Add a new contact email, it does have to be real, because you do have to be able to see the email (untested: you may even be able to simply use an email generator that allows you to view sent emails).

After confirmation, return to Account > Account Settings > Email and switch your contact email to the new email address.

Disregard any of these emails they are a scam to get access to your facebook account. Do not answer anyone that sends any information via email especially banking or anything that wants pass words of email names or security codes or otherwise. It may look real but odds are it is not. Junk mails sent from my account

Run a virus scan and install AVAST antivirus. Keep it running all the time. Don't open ANYTHING or follow links if you don't know the person the emails come from.
