Question about Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 Full Version for PC
I have an older office program and for my online class we are editing other people's work in word documents. I downloaded one of my classmates word docs and it started installing Word 2007 and is now asking me for a product key. This is really stupid, now I only have 24 times to use my word program which is mine!
Your program (ms-office) has been upgraded to Office 2007, and so you are asked for the License key. If you would like to use it, your only means is to uninstall the program and again reinstall your program. And remember if you don't like to upgrade to office 2007, don't install additional upgrades. There's a problem when you open an office 2007 on your previous version, but you can solve it by telling to those who send files to you. Let them save the file in the previous version format, if they save it in the office 2007 format, you'll not be able to open it. The file extension of previous version office is .doc but the new version has .docx, they can still save it in .doc format. You can convert .docx format using converter, but i don't recommend, you might loose formatting. Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

Why did you let the installation to happen? I don't think that you can rollback now. Try to uninstall and re install your original Office software. Ask others to save the documents in the compatibility mode. (Only if you have Office 2003)...
Otherwise you have to buy one or find one via the internet. There are corporate keys which do not require activation either. But used ones. But still Piracy and We do not recommend. And don't get caught after entering such a key ;-). Block the updates using a firewall.
