My Haier dehumidifier says the tank is full when its not. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the switch needs to be replaced or adjusted.

Check the float valve switch in the top of the tank (if your model so equipped) it may be stuck in the DOWN position and can't float up and turn the unit OFF, when necessary.

If you want it to shut OFF before the tank is totally full, slide the float cup forward. if you want it to fill completely before shutting OFF, slide the float cup backward. Some folks prefer the half full, because the bucket is not as heavy to remove and empty, as it is when it's full.

After total frustration, we took it back to the store and got a refund. They told us so many of these have come back, they were surprised they haven't been recalled yet. Thanks anyway.

the dehumidifier just quit woking. But light comes on, saying tank is full.
