I have a kenwood kdc mp333 cd player, it reads cds and the radio is fine but therers no sound... like i turn it up and stuff but no sound.. is there a mute button on my cd player or would it be my...

Could be one or the other, look at every button on the face and ensure there is no mute button, although usually when you adjust the volume it will unmute. I would also look in back of the deck and make sure your wiring harness did not get disconnected, if it is connected you can try testing a speaker or two right from the harness and see if you get audio.

Any time you upgrade your radio to an aftermarket you have to have the wire harness with it to connect to your dash.

Try to make my own harness for kenwood kdc-322 need power diagram?

For the money you spend to make your own and the time it will take to figure everything out and actually build it you could go to walmart or buy the harness. You can get vehicle specific wiring harnesses for under 20 dollars.

Model KDC-MP142/CR When turning radio is always goes to STANDBY mode I want the radio to go on in the normal way. Also the clock to backs to 12:00 when radio is turn on. Thanks

Hello swanaprslc,

It sounds like the "always hot" or battery wire is not connected to a 12V constant source. If you used a wiring harness, check and make sure that the pin in the harness that connects to the "yellow" wire coming from your Kenwood MP142 is hot with the ignition off. If you did not use a wiring harness, make sure that the yellow wire is connected to a fused 12V + constant source.

Hope this helps.

I want to connect a Kenwood KDC-20011S CD Car stereo to my old 1995 plymouth voyager. Where is a simple website I can go to get a diagram of the wires to connect.

Go to intalldr.com and go to quick wiring info. But on the other hand I would recommend going to an audio shop or even walmart and getting a wire harness. There are so many things that can go wrong when you dont and its quicker to do. All you have to do it color match the harnesses, then plug and play. Good luck
