Check to see if choke is closing and opening properly, if yes, adjust the carburetor as it appears you are not getting enough fuel flow with the amount of air intake.

I have a jcb 5.5hp lawnmower, its starts with the choke closed, but as i open it, a begins to stop, it never use to do this, it always ran, when i opened the choke up, fuel is good

the choke should not be engaged when you are running your mower, it is only for starting cold engines and will choke you mower out if you open it up during operation. Only the throttle should be used to increase rpms
