Exact procedure maybe shown after seeing the fitting itself but generally using watch makers screwdrivers helps a lot in these types of situations.

Your biggest mistake is to replace metal fittings with plastic quick connect fittings. Heat and oil destroys plastic and you have set yourself up for a line failure that will drain the sump in seconds and ruin the engine . Plastic quick fits are for cold low pressure water only

I have a leak with my culligan RO system. The leak is on the RO line, at the junction with the line coming from the main tap line. there is a plastic tee fitting there. My first assumption is that there is...

plastic line and fitting are a snap in item
push the line in and at the same time press in the ring at the end of the fitting
that releases the clamping action of the line
make sure that the water is turned off and the pressure in the line is released

We bought a used Whirlpool side by side with water and ice in the is model ED5CHQXVQ. The water line has been cut at the bottom of the do we get the cover off and get the line fixed?

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. The cover for the dispenser snaps off. You have to pull it on the bottom and when it unsnaps lift it upward then unplug harness. Next remove two screws on white plastic cover and remove. You should have access to replace water line. But the cover on the door just snaps off from the bottom.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

Disconnecting water line for water dispenser, do the connecters just pull apart or do you have to twist them off?

May need your model number to confirm. But older styles have the compression nut with farrow on the water line to prevent leakage.and newer types have snap lock fittings. If yours is one of the models listed above the question would be what part of the dispenser system are you attempting to remove and replace? If you model is the=> KSCS25FKSS00 then click on photo again to enlarge. All fittlings appear to have the compression nut. The water Control Valve=> 2199838 Water Inlet Valve
Here is a link to the KSCS25FKSS Parts Manual

I may not have answered exactly the answer you want but I belive you twist them with a wrench at this time.Hope this helps, Thanks Sea Breeze

Easiest way to thaw out a possible frozen water reservoir in my GE side by side fridge?

Hair dryer is the easiest way to thaw. To find cause: Remove lower grill and disconnect the water line going through the freezer2_bing.gif door hinge. Usually it is a push lock fitting, which requires you to push the ring2_bing.gif on the end of the fitting toward the center of the fitting while pulling (not hard) on the plastic tube. Now place a pan under the separated plastic hose and try the water dispenser. If water comes out, your problem is a frozen water line in the freezer door. A warmer freezer temp may help, or you can order and install a WR49X10173 water tube heater2_bing.gif. (the heater may take 24 hours to thaw the line, but I have used it successfully several times. Cost about $50) If no water comes out the separated tube when you try to dispense water, reconnect the tube at the hinge by pushing the plastic line back into the fitting. Now, at the back of the refrig., disconnect the water line going from the water valve to the fresh foods compartment. Try to dispense water. No water at valve outlet = bad valve. Water dispensed from valve now = frozen water filter2_bing.gif or water line at back bottom of fresh foods compartment. (make sure you disconnect the right tube. If in doubt, disconnect them both, just get them back correctly so your icemaker continues to work) Send me additional comments if needed. Don't rate before you try all the steps.

If water filter or water line/ reservoir is frozen, thaw with a hair dryer. If reservoir is frozen, check to make sure there is no frost on back wall of inside freezer, preventing normal air flow, allowing cold air to enter fresh foods compartment through return air vent at lower back of fresh foods compartment, resulting in freezing of water line / reservoir and possibly food in bottom bin.

Toilet refills and water stops running. a couple seconds later get the sound of air which continues. if I push black float down a bit it stops manually but when I let go continues??

It can be one of two things first you either have air in your watter line in this case let water run for a while and see if you get air if so let it run until it quits spitting or contact your water company for help.Second the diaphram is worn in the top of the valve in this case the whole valve will need to be replaced turn off water flush toilet put pan or bowl under water line at toilet remove water line at toilet .Unscrew the fitting and remove hose next remove the large plastic nut on the bottom of tank .Some water will leak out hence the bowl! remove valve replace wit new one line up in same direction it was removed put on new rubber washer supplied,Tighten plastic nut replace hose and tighten turn on water that should fix it!

Removing rear light assembly on honda odyssey 2006

Yes, there is a "spear point" plastic clip that is still engaged into a socket type holder in the front outboard portion of the tail lamp assembly. Pry gently with a tape wrapped screwdriver at the front outboard corner of the assembly and the clip will release. You will then be able to see how the clip works and will be able to align and engage it first when replacing the tail lamp assembly.
