Need to download videos to computer. Help?

Couple ways to do this:
1. Camcorder should have come with a cable to connect to computer. If you connect it Windows should prompt for import.
If not go into folder where videos are store on camera, select the videos, copy/paste them into folder on computer.
2. If your computer has an sdhc card slot on it remove the card from camcorder and put it into computer. Again Windows should prompt for import, or you can copy videos manually.

There's also plenty of other software designed for importing and managing photos/videos, that may be a good option.
If you are unsure, having someone help you through the process in person may be good.

I wish to connect my vcr to my dell optiplex gx260 computer but have absolutely no idea how. can u help please?

you have to have an s-video cable, however you also have to have a driver so your vcr will be recognized by the computer. I'm sure you need to download the driver program from the web. i would try the vcr manufacturers web site for this. To be quite honest I never have heard a vcr being used in this particular way. the odds of you finding a driver install program is pretty slim.

Graphic card location inside an E520

The Dell 520's manual can be downloaded here. The PC's motherboard optionally has a VGA Video Connector (integrated) as shown on Page 1 of the manual. If yours is equipped with this option, there is no graphics card installed - it is built into the motherboard itself. It can not be removed or separated from the PC.

Your PC may have a a separate video card installed into one of the expansion slots on the motherboard. Page 1 also shows this installed below the USB 2.0 connectors as the PCI Express graphics card.

Here's an internal view:
4_17_2012_1_20_10_pm.jpg

The video card in the picture is driving two standard analog VGA monitors (blue cable connectors) through a DVI -> VGA adapter (white and clear devices) this is connected to the video output connectors. If you look closely at the edge of the PC in the picture (directly above the USB & network cables) you should be able to see an unused VGA Video Connector (integrated). Most computer BIOS systems will automatically disable any built in video capabilities of the motherboard when a separate video card is detected. Check the manual for additional info about these BIOS settings.

I hope this helps & good luck!

Can I connect my PC to my Toshiba 30HFX84 30

You can't connect the PC to the 30HFX84 directly. (The HDMI ports are not compatible with a computer's signal.)

If you use a converter box (VGA to component video), you would be able to get the connection. See this site for some examples: http://www.ramelectronics.net/audio-video/video-converters/vga-rgb-hv-to-component-video/c10000-c11200-c11215-p1.html . Avoid the VGA to component video cables; those are for connecting to a projector that reads RGB signals at the component in.

Some video cards have a TV out option. In that case, you wouldn't need the converter. You might need the appropriate dongle to fit the video card TV-out and then connect the cable to the TV.

Crutchfield has the manual for the 30HFX84 available here: http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/052/05230HFX84.PDF .

I hope this helps.

Connecting a computer to the tv

Philips Magnavox MS3652S will only connect to a computer with a converter (except if you have a video card that outputs to a TV compatible mode). You need a VGA to composite video (or S-video) converter. http://www.svideo.com/vgatotv.html for a few of the converters.

Computers output RGB signal; TVs do not read this signal. The video cards that can provide a TV-out signal directly come with a converter for the AV cables. (Check your manual for the video card. For some graphics cards with TV-out, see http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=Property&Subcategory=48&Description=&Type=&N=100007709&IsNodeId=1&srchInDesc=&MinPrice=&MaxPrice=&PropertyCodeValue=2328%3A14103&PropertyCodeValue=2328%3A14101&PropertyCodeValue=2328%3A14201&PropertyCodeValue=2328%3A14104 .)

I hope this helps.

MOTHERBOARD CONNECTION

First double check your connections very closely, preferrably against the motherboard manual if you have it. if this is correct, then double check that your monitor cable is seated in the video card connector firmly, if you still have no video you might want to check that all your components are seated firmly into the motherboard. hopefully your board has not been zapped.

I need a driver for a digital video recorder camera. the model is sony dcr-trv10.

Sony's website says: "Some digital camcorders must be setup to output a signal through the i.LINK® port prior to being connected to a computer. Consult the instruction manual of your camcorder for specific information before continuing with the steps in this solution. Instruction manuals are available in the Manuals/Specs/Warranty section of the Sony® eSupport Web site.
  1. Ensure the i.LINK cable is connected securely to the camcorder and computer.
  2. Ensure the camcorder is turned on and being powered by the supplied AC power adapter.
  3. Ensure the video capture card and software are configured properly to receive the i.LINK signal from the camcorder.
  4. NOTES:
    • Depending on the video capture card and software you are using, you may need to manually configure the capture card and software to receive a signal from the i.LINK port. If applicable, check the Help files of the software or contact the video capture card or software manufacturer for further information.
    • Sony® digital camcorders are not provided with and do not require special device drivers for i.LINK connectivity. The device drivers that allow i.LINK connectivity should be provided with the video capture software. If the software you are using does not appear to have the required drivers, you will need to contact the software manufacturer.
Likely this is the case where the camcorder needs to be setup in order to connect to the Firewire port. This is done inside the menus. Windows XP and Windows Vista will detect a camcorder connected to a Firewire port automatically. Make sure your camcorder is powered up and configured before connecting it. Does your PC have a Firewire port? Many do not, PCI cards with firewire ports can be bought online or from local retailers. Some sound cards come equipped with one.
