Question about Raypak Free Hydraulic Lift Gate Delivery - No L...

The heater had smoke coming out out of it. I looked at the tray, and it seemed like branches and other things were burning. Now it has stopped working and the screen is saying "OL". Also, it doesn't spark anymore. What is the problem?

You have some burnt wires. You will need to disconnect the power to your unit, then you will need to remove the cover and get in there and find the burnt wires and start replacing wires

2004 Chrysler Voyager, had an acrid burning smell and a lot of smoke when heater is turned on, also a rattling/squealing noise, all stops when heater turned off?

you more than likely have a sciezed air con compressor. most modern cars have climate control which uses air con even when demisting and when engaged the electric clutch tries to engage but the pump itself will not turn, clutch will get red hot and burn your belts

Hayward pool heater smoke

Is it smoke? Could it be steam?
If so, condensation "Rain in the inside of your new heater". This is a real problem & needs to be checked out by a Certified Heater Technical service man. Preferrably, not the one who installed.

I have a new H400 Hayward poole heater. There is white smoke coming off the top. I thought it would stop after a few minutes however it has not stopped after 45 minutes. The heat transfer is good and it...

Are you sure there is nothing on top of the burners?
It is normal for the heater to burn some smoke because of residual oil on the exchangers, but you would think 45 minutes is plenty of time to burn it off? Try for a little while longer? Maybe it is not smoke? could be steam? Possible of condensation or small leak? What is your water flow like? Is pressure too high, is flow to high or to low? These may need to be checked by a service tech. Because this is a real problem when you get "Rain inside your heater" Possible improper installation?

We brought a Tesco microwave at CULLOMPTON Tesco, Devon last week. It cost £29.00 on its first major use - cooking potatoes for ten minutes - smoke seems to be coming from beneath the machine - it has...

This is almost certainly some of the protective oils and varnishes which were applied during manufacture flashing off.

All new products of this type do this to some degree but your description seems to indicate that it's much worse than normal with your machine.

Ordinarily, you can expect this to cease after a few uses and if the level of smoke and odour you've described is to be expected then the instruction booklet should say so. But as yours has visible smoke and a burning plastic smell I'd recommend that you exercise your rights under the Sale of Goods Act and return it to Tesco for a full refund or replacement. The smell of burnt lubricant is one thing, but a burning plastic smell means you can never trust the oven to be safe: none of the many microwave ovens which I've dealt with have ever smelled of burning plastic unless there was a fault.

You won't find any objection from Tesco as they do have good customer service; and when I lived in Cullompton briefly earlier this year the local branch was even better than usual at keeping customers happy.

I hope that you have found my reply to be of assistance and ask in return only that you return the favour by rating my answer.

We bought new Dimplex baseboard heaters when we re-did all of our rooms and the new heaters are leaving black marks (like smoke damage) on the wall above the heaters. Our walls are ruined

Stop burning candles! Yes, believe it or not the black is smoke from candles which is deposited there by/because of air flow. How did I know you burn candles? Been in the HVAC business a long time and that is the only thing I've ever seen cause it!

Lots of smoke is coming out of the pre heater pipe on the side the car ...what is the solution to problem and can it be done at home or to i have to take it to a garage ...any details on this is wellcome...

Hi Emma
all normal, the voyager is fitted with an auxilary heating system, which is supposed to help warm the occupants of the car before the diesel engine actually warms up to take over, even after stopping and turning the engine off, the smoke coming from under the passenger side is the car burning off fuel from the auxilary heater (smells like kerosene) i found this to be unpleasant, especially when i open the doors to get the kids out, everyone is smoked, so i turn the heater off as i approach home, whereby any unspent fuel is burned off before you stop. so there is no need to go to a garage.
hope this has reassured you.

Only half of the wicks burns/ flame varies in height/ smokes !

Sounds like you have a wick that has burnt unevenly in the past and now there is not a good setting for an optimum burn. Either the wick needs to be trimmed even or you need a new wick.
