Insert more..and make a reset first cause the sensor do not detect it ..so it is either too little paper inside..or it has an error and needs to be reset..

that may be too heavy, try a few first then check if the printer will initiate printing.

I have a brother MFC260 and the machine says that there is no paper when the paper tray is full and inserted correctly. I found a white plastic part that was somehow attached to the inside of the printer...

There should be a slot on the paper tray in the right hand side, the part gets fitted into the slot and pushes on a pressure sensor to tell how much paper is left. Alternatively you could find the pressure sensor and Gerry rig the device so it always shows that you have paper left, and the printer will not tell you how much paper you have left, but it will tell you when it is out.
This problem should also be covered under the manufacturers warranty.
Good luck!

Paper starts then stops before printing results

most likely wrong paper or a bad optical sensor. There are actually 2 or 3 different versions of the mac 1200 all of which might need different paper. if you tell me the serial umber of your unit and the part number for the paper you are using I can tell you what is the correct paper.

My hp printer is telling me that i need to add

Not sure what printer you have but most consumer models don't actually detect paper in the tray. These machines will give an out of paper error if the paper is not picked up from the tray.
If the machine sounds like it is trying to pick up the paper but giving the error check and clean the pick up roller and look for something blocking the paper path.
hope this helps

Keeps telling me to put paper in tray-tray is full

Hi,

It sounds like it has lost how to detect the paper tray, this could be possibly the paper tray itself or the configuration on the machine its self, look on the tray and see if it has a paper configuration slide or a magnet on the side or front that is missing, or you will need to go into the menu configuration and choose the paper tray.

Good Luk
