The lcd projection ultra vision model 50vf820 s:v5k004647 Nov 5 LC 55 that we own is cutting off and the red lights displayed lower right side indicates the tv is overheating.. shortly after it cuts off it makes a buzzing sound. Can u help us with this

Thats caused by failed convergence ICs your model uses two STK392-120 ICs and 12 resistors 6.8 ohm 1watt. You can get the DPTV305-345 convergence repair kit which comes with instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com
It is light engine that is going bad and causing blue haze/ clouds etc. It is an expensive part, and I would recommend a new TV instead of its repair. Thanks.
He is most likely right--a burnt light engine will cause problems like this and is very expensive to replace--the set uses a hot lamp for brightness and it sometimes burns one of the optical lens in the engine--blue,red or green. Google the model number and you will see how much the part by itself costs. Sorry, Steve
Yes you should order a new lamp and replace it. if you are not real handy with tideous electronic tasks, consider buying the lamp in am enclosure for an additional $30
you have to hit the menue button, then go th the video section,,may say picture, dee if there is a reset in there, if not, put the color at 55, and make sure the tint is in the middle of red and green, aldo put it on Dynamic
