Has this always been the case? Did they start draining slow at the same time? Did they drain well for you once upon a time?

Over time, there is a build up of hair folicles and soap scum in bathroom sinks, tubs and showers. Their slow drain is most often caused within the first 3 feet of drain from the fixture. Much as you can't use water to thin oil based paints or paint thinner to thin latex paints, few know and understand that hair and soap scum need a different solvent than what a kitchen sink might need. I recommend a product called "HairAway". It won't harm your pipes, and is biodegradeable and oh how it works! It is formulated to only disolve hair and soap scum and will not affect fish gravel, roots, dirt, vegetable matter, animal fats, or anything manmade. None of that stuff is in bathroom drains anyway, right?

Bathroom sink smells strongly like sewer when water runs fast.

Suppose you plugged the drain of the sink and filled the basin with water, then removed the plug. I must think that only after the basin empties you would get the sewer smell, and the smell would persist until you slowly ran some more water. If you try this, and this is the result, then the problem is that the sewer vent (that is supposed to prevent the water in the trap under the sink from being sucked down the drain) is not working right. If this is a new problem then you may be able to clear what is probably a blocked vent pipe. If this bathroom has always had this problem, then you have a poorly designed or executed vent pipe setup that you can only fix it with some surgery to your plumbing. However, to clean the vent you can try pouring a good bit of drain cleaner down the vent pipe on the roof, followed by water. But because there may be several vent pipes sharing the same vent stack out the roof, the drain cleaner may not get to your blockage and may simply go down a different path. Good luck.

My shower drain was running slow during a shower, and when i stepped out i realized that the toilet was leaking from the bottom -screw under cap on left side. i am at a loss and do not even know where to...

You can try using rock salt and boiling hot water down your drains. That will help if you have roots getting into your line. Chemicals are not very good for your pipes. If you have PVC drains the chemicals can eat a hole in the pipe because most of them have acid in them. They are also bad for your health (breathing in fumes, getting on skin, etc.) If the line is broken down, has a break in it, it will need to be repaired.

Yes water can back up in a drain and flood out lowest opening, which would be a toilet flange at floor level.
If tub is draining fine, then clog is probably near the toilet, but below floor flange level, and therefore not inside the tank ... judging from your description.
If you are in a house, go outside and see if there is a vent stack on the roof directly above toilet. If so, you can run a snake down from there.
You can also run a snake down through "s" shaped toilet trap and enter the pipe that way.
Another option is to remove the toilet and run snake directly down hole, and then reattach toilet.
