Check the exhaust vent for a lint buildup
The moister sensor will shut down the heat is plugged up
Also is the spark ignitor clicking upon when you start this dryer up? If not after the lint is cleaned out the spark ignitor is at fault

The dryer doesn't heat up on the heat dry cycles. It still works on an air dry cycle. What could the problem be?

Pilot working but will not dry completely.

Check the burner vents--both intake and outlet for lint plugging. With the pilot working, it is supposed to heat a thermocouple which generates electricity that opens the main gas valve.

Dryer does not heat. Exhaust is not plugged. Gas supply is present at the input connector. Dryer worked perfectly and suddenly quit drying. Personally, I think The igniter failed.

If the ignitor is working properly, it will glow orange. If the gas supply is present, then I would agree with you that the ignitor is the most likely the problem. Hope this helped and best wishes.
