This happens when a computer is infected by virus which creates additional file called "autorun.inf" You can fix it by following the steps below;
Open Start > Run and type cmd and press enter (or cick Ok). This will open a command prompt window. On this command prompt window type the following steps. Type "cd\"
Type "attrib -r -h -s autorun.inf"
Type "del autorun.inf"
Now type "d:" and press enter for d: drive partition. Now repeat steps and follow the same steps as mentioned above. Similarly repeat steps for all your hard disk partition having the same problem. Restart your system and your trouble will be fixed. Good luck and thanks for using FixYa.

    I have a latitude latitude d610 i cant get the cd to play it starts up then stops can you help plaese

    There are two possibilities. Both can be tested from Windows explorer. I'll assume you have XP. Perhaps your drive is not set to auto-play? Double click My Computer. Put a CD in the drive. Does the CD drive now show there is a disc in the drive? You should be able to open the drive folder and see the contents. Try double clicking a song or program to see if it will run.
    If everything works this way, then go back to My Computer and right click on the CD drive. Pick properties. Click the AutoPlay tab. Select each item from the pulldown list and for the Action to perform, select "Take no action" to disable autorun, or pick the apporpriate action to take if enabling autorun.
    If the CD is not recognized at all, then it is either too scratched or the drive is defective.

    Cant load pictures to computer

    Try to hookup your camera to your computer's usb port using a usb cable. Then right click on your windows Start button and choose Explore. Look for the drive letter of your camera and click it to show the contents on the right. Double click to open those folders until you see the picture files. Just select them and drag it to your computer's local drive.

    Flash drive does not open when clicked on, but 'explore' works

    Useualy when it says it cant be stoped its because some program is useing it, if doubble clicking on the drive in "My Computer" doesn't work its because there is a corruped file in the auto play, no real need for panic, cuz it will open if used under "exsplore" try another flash drive and see if it does the same thing to see if its just the drive or your PC. Ill bet it's just the drive. GL Hope this helps.

    The setup wizard on the CD will not automatically run when inserted in the CD-ROM drive, what do i do?

    1. click on start
    2. My computer
    3. right click on CD/DVD Drive
    4. Left click auto run

    selecting My Computer, right-clicking the drive that contained the CD-ROM, and selecting Properties. click the AutoPlay tab and select the Select an action to perform option, then double-click the program to use to run the CD-ROM. This action launched the program on the CD-ROM. Note that simply highlighting the program you want to use and clicking OK or Apply doesn't work; you must double-click the program and force it to launch on the CD-ROM or DVD in the drive. The CD-ROM then ran automatically, using the program associated with it on the AutoPlay tab.
