If it's too slow you should get these stuff to clean it.. 1-CCleaner (it cleans all unwanted cookies, temperarily files , etc...)

2-Zone alarm (it protects you like an antivirus while being extremely light to use)

finally ,, if the computer is still slow that means u should format it or put a new windows(can be downloaded and burned onto a CD off the torrents and many sites+ tutorials on youtube of how to) finally in some versions of windows you can install them giving you a hole new computer while still keeping your files, and data ..... hope it helps ^^

and for the Kernal problem if it blocks you from even entering to your desktop you should use a different operating system as if you are in XP Sp2 go to Sp3 ,,, but if it only slows your computer and allows you to enter to desktop you should probably stick with cleaning up your hard and ignoring it as that may help of there is no backup for your files.. hope it helps^^

Better reformat the drive of your system disk and install new operating system..
If your hardisk is partitioned in to two, the usual system drive is c:/ (it is where windows system files is stored...check your drive for the right directory of your windows file)....Back up important files...copy files from C: and save it on drive d:...after you back up your files, run windows cd installer...reformat drive c: and install new operating system for your computer..

If you don't have a back up drive, better save your important files on cd or removable flash drive..

Most probably this is caused by the battery charging circuit inside your laptop. It looks like it is not charging the battery. If this is the case you won't be able to fix it yourself. You and should send it for repair.

When the R4 card loaded up it deleted a lot of my

Honestly, first i would copy al of your ROMs to your computer, and if you want to keep you saved game, copy the .sav files also. Then after that, make sure you have the newest kernel on your computer. Then delete everything on your R4 card. correctly install your kernel on the card again (and if you dont know or remember how to do this, i have written a guide for it) and copy your roms (and .sav files!) back on to your R4 card. PS: it would be better to only copy the kernel at first, load the R4 card in you ds, then after that, load the roms and/or the .sav files.

Failed to load kernel library

1)This happens when your hardisk memory is full or nearly full.
2)one thing every pc user should know ,"memory and speed are inversely proportional, that means if memory is high,pc slows down..
3)OR IF YOU ADD ADDITIONAL HARD DISK YOU SHOULD ALSO ADD RAM..
IF THESE ABOVE STEPS ARE NOT YOUR TROUBLE SHOOTERS THEN DO AS GIVEN
"START>RUN>REGEDIT>HKEY_CURRENT_USER(IN THIS YOU CAN FIND CONTROL PANEL,ENLARGE IT..YOU CAN FIND DESKTOP.CLICK ON IT AND ON MAIN SCREEN YOU CAN SEE A FILE "MENU SHOW DELAY",NOW MODIFY ITS VALUE TO 0 FROM 400... NEXT RIGHT CLICK ON MY COMPUTER PROPERTIES>ADVANCED TAB>PERFORMANCE SETTINGS>CHOOSE BEST PERFORMANCE LEAVING LAST TWO ONE...

I have just installed my first dual boot XP and Ubuntu on my old desktop. The floppy drive is recognised on XP but not on Ubuntu - What do I need to do to use it under Ubuntu 8 ?

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Click on "Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal".
2. In the terminal type "gksudo gedit" and enter the system password (you created this when installed Ubuntu). This will enable you to temporarily edit the "modules" file which is usually a read-only system file.
3. Click "Places -> Computer".
4. Click on "Filesystem".
5. Open up the directory (folder) called "Modules". It is the grey icon nearer the bottom of the list (you have to move the navigation bar down).
6. The file "Modules" should open in the "gedit" program.
7. It should look something like this:

# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
#
# This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
# at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.

fuse
lp

8. Now add the word "floppy" to the bottom of the file. It will now look like this:

# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
#
# This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
# at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.

fuse
lp
floppy

9. Now save the file by pressing pressing the "save" icon.
10. Exit the "gedit" program.
11. Now restart ubunutu (reboot the computer).
12. After reboot is complete, the floppy icon should be found under "Places" on the panel. Click on it to open a floppy. Remember to "unmount volume" when you remove or change the floppy. Linux will not let you change floppies like windows by just popping it out.

Hope this helps!

Windows Failed to load because Kernel file is missing

try pressing f8 when you load vista and then select start normally
if that doest not work and gives you the same error then restart and press F12 as soon as you see the dell logo, put in the vista installation disk that you got with the laptop and select boot with disk option.

try and repair or the recovery option .

NOTE : IT IS RECOMMENDED TO TAKE BACK UP OF YOUR FILES BEFORE USING THE RECOVERY OPTION .

Windows Failed to load because Kernel file is missing, or corrupt

Are you talking about two problems on one computer? If so, the first problem doesn't matter until the second one is fixed. If you are talking about two different computers, then the problems can be each addressed.

For the hard drive that is not recognized, where did it come from? If you purchased it used, you may be out of luck. It sounds like you have a pretty good idea how computers work, and it also sounds like this hard drive does not work at all.

If these are both the same computer, then replacing the hard drive with a known working hard drive will most likely provide you with a solution.

I wish I had better news for you.

Turn the xbox on and where the light is green there is only one red light and it says on the screen system error

An original Xbox? On the error screen there should be a number. Which is it?

2 - bootldr - Eeprom check failed

4 - bootldr - Ram check failed

5 - kernel - HDD not locked

6 - kernel - Cannot unlock HDD

7 - kernel - HDD timeout

8 - kernel - No HDD found

9 - kernel - HDD parameters (

10 - kernel - DVD timeout

Actually its almost the same as error 6/7/8.

11 - kernel - No DVD Found

12 - kernel - DVD parameters (PIO/DMA)

13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail

14 - dashboard - Error loading dashboard

16 - dashboard - Clock cannot be set.

20 - kernel - The dashboard was attempted to load and failed

21 - anywhere -

Some of these are relatively simple to fix. Some are nightmarish. Let me know which it is and maybe I can help you.
