SOURCE: wanted coil ignition module for Husqvarna 394xp chainsaw

I found an IPL for your saw here:
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Enter 394 as model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – for use with IPL
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week

I chose the 92-10. The coil and wire were manufactured as separate pieces. I found both at Jacks Small engines. It is interesting that the same ignition wire fits a Poulan at 1/2 the cost. About $86 for both pieces at Jacks. HTH

Husqvarna 444 coil replacement ?

The 444 had a blue prufrex coil, and as you say it is no longer available, it is possible to fit the unit from the 254 part no. 544018301 however you need to re drill a new fixing hole, you can use the lower hole but have to drill the laminate core to fit the center hole, the upper hole is no longer used, i have done it a few times, it not easy to drill the laminate but is possible.

How to check inition coil using meter

The best way to check the ignition module is operation on the saw. Assuming nothing happens when tested with a fresh plug set at 0.020", remove the side cover to expose the flywheel and ignition module. Remove the wire that runs to the ignition switch and try for spark again. If still nothing, use a thin business card for a gap gauge, turn the flywheel magnets under the module poles, and loosen the mounting screws for the module. Allow the poles to contact the magnets through the card, then re-tighten the screws. Try for spark again--if nothing, replace the module using the above procedure. Hope this helps!

Repaired Husqvarna 41 chainsaw won't start.

Hi

The off switch of the chainsaw has to establish the continuity to kill the running engine.First check the switch with a measure apparat.Then check the continuity of the two wiring harness,sepparately.One wire is atached to the ignition module with a screw and goes to the off position of the switch.The other one towards the on position of the switch.Check the spring!

LM90 ( LOGIC MAster ) communication with 90-30 series

Try "COMx 9600,E,8,1"
LM90 is a DOS package. I assume you are using DOS 6.xx to use program. Windows will not allow DOS program to access com ports. Use a VB, C++, etc to access PLC. Be very creative in programming... convert ladder instruction to HEX with checksums.

Good Luck.
